One way is to remove the color in the background only, and then burn the lighter areas. I did this quickly, so edges of their heads etc are imperfect.

Thank you! Hadnt thought of that

I've been struggling with this photo that I LOVE from the woman's facial expression but I'm just not sure the best way to edit it?
I've thought about blurring the background, taking out the background or just leaving it alone (which I'm not satisfied with )

Would love to hear your ideas...

Need to know more about your equipment (for size and weight) and price range. Also just the tripod or worth a head also?

Equipment is Sony A6300 with largest lens 70-200/f4 so I probably don't need a tripod for more than 12ish lbs just to be on the safe side. I had a Sirui rated for 8lbs and it was a bit too flimsy.

Price-I'd like to stay less than $350 and YES I need a head. Want a carbon fiber and want the weight to be under $3.50 lbs

I have a Feisol CT-3441 that I would sell for $275. It is in very good condition weighs in at 2.6lb and supports 44lb.

And does the Feisol have a ball head?

I'm looking for a Carbon Fiber Tripod. It needs it to be fairly compact in size (folded) and fairly light in weight. All this would depend on ratio of folded size to weight. Have a manfrotto 190 4(older model) and I love it but it's too bulky and a bit too heavy with the ball head I put on it.

Compact Ball Head. Giotto's ball head series features a light and extra large hollow ball. The slim and light body structure is hardened for strength. Ball and pan lock knobs. Calibrated base. 1/4inch & 3/8 inch threads. Base with 3/8 inch socket and 1/4" bushing.

Don't know if you need it but I threw in a SLIK Quick plate and SLIK Quick plate adapter.

Ball moves smoothly. Knobs turn smoothly. In VG used condition.

Paypal Only. **I'll pay the fee if you pay for shipping...(I'll send it the cheapest way possible)**

Diameter: 1.7 inches
Height: 3 inches
Weight: 8.4oz.
Capacity: 13 lbs.

What would you NOT consider a good quality head? I used a Giottos previously and I was very happy. I guess they're not as popular as they once were ...but it was made to be screwed directly onto the camera. (that's what brought on this post). I'd love to get a RRS ball head but you have to take out a mortgage to buy one and I'm only an amateur photographer so it's hard to justify the cost.

Be careful of the weight handling of ball heads. Not all are rated accurately. And in addition, it is not only the weight that has to be taken into account. If you are using a longer lens, but not one with a tripod mount on the lens, it will have an additional gravity pull downwards that can cause slippage. Very annoying when that happens! Make sure you buy a good quality head.
