Yes, turning off the corrections fixed the problem. Thank you for the valuable input.

Great. I am glad that you are back among us. Stay well and enjoy. Weird things happen and it is good to know that we “photogs” are not alone.

Just a thought I had a similar problem a few years back with a different lens. I turned off the lens correction in my 7DII and all worked well afterwards. I tried it on two bodies and sent the lens back to have it checked. Hope this helps.

Has anyone out there had any experience with the DxO one camera designed for use with the IPhone smart phone?

A coworker bought one to work and showed it to me and I used it for a while. It is different and an experience. In the end I believe that he may have sent it back.

FYI. Hope this helps.?

Where can I find a telephoto lens for Canon Rebel t5, have ef 75-300, but would like to zoom in on songbirds a little better, only a beginner and casual user so dont want to break the bank, consider refurbished?

Just my two cents worth. I have used a variety of lenses and cameras. The Photographer makes it all happen. The reason that I say this is that you always hear about super telephoto lens and their prices.

I love the older style Canon 100-400 L Lens. It can be often found used and pretty much built like a tank. Also have used all of the 150-600 Super Telephoto. I find that both provide about the same amount of keepers and would make a great choice. I only say this because the 100-400 weighs in at about 3.25lbs and the Other 150-600 can weigh from 4.25-well over 6.00 lbs.
If weight is not an issue have at it. For the money though you will get e much better lens with the 100-400. Should be found for less than $1000.

Hope that this helps.

Hobbies are nice to have and they keep most of us out of trouble. Remember that for some reason hobbies can become expensive. Enjoy and have fun, and as a good friend said once "Go out and take many pictures, the more you take the better you get over time" Just my two cents worth.

Just thinking ,since I only have the canon 85 1.8 non l prime a week now could this lens be the culprit by messing up some software in camera ??

Go to the shooting menu Red Camera 1 and under Lens aberration correction check and see if all of the three options are turned on or off. This may cause some issues with certain lenses.

Hope this helps.

Just my experience with owning a Canon 2x teleconvertor. I stays in the bag and I cannot remember the last time that I used that one. I have used the 1.4x on a 2.8 Lens. This made my effective focal length of 70-200 2.8 (98-280) and the effective aperture of 3.92. I just rounded it up to 4.0.
The image quality does suffer in the overal image. It will allow you to have a little bit longer reach. However, I have found that through experience that as mentioned earlier in this thread, it is better to shoot at what focal length you have, and then crop the image.
Save your money and if it is on your list grab another lens or take a trip to a nice place where you vantage some awesome shots.
Enjoy and keep clicking.

Alan,
Once again thank you. I currently own a canon 7d markii and a canon 5d. The lenses that I own are: Canon 50mm f/1.8, Canon 18-135mm, Canon 100-400 IS, Tamron 70-200 f/2.8.
I love shooting wildlife and have been seriously considering the purchase of the Canon 400 f/5.6. I also have been looking into the 10-18 Canon for landscapes.

I just wanted to give you a heads up on what I currently have and appreciate any comments or other suggestions.

I would love to buy the new version of the Canon 100-400 II, just cannot part with the money at this time. This is why I thought that the 400 would be a better choice until I get the 100-400 II. My friends have been trying to steer me towards the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary. That lens is way too heavy to hand hold for a long period of time.
I am looking for where I should invest my money.

Thank you again and my apologies to all for my long comment.
