Oh please stop, you guys are so funny, my sides are splitting. Such clever wit, you MUST be what, 9th graders? So awesome to make beaver jokes in an allegedly photography forum obviously with no female members, but why should you clever guys even care...you're SO FUNNY. Keep it up, guys, keeping the UGLY in Ugly Hedgehog.

Are you a forum moderator? Or just a self-appointed scold? Your comment is rude, and ignorant. Have a nice day.

Great shots. I love your way with keeping her skin tones real. Beautiful model, but I would have asked her to smile. Just to few smiles in this ailing world.

Thanks for commenting. For these I asked for sultry. She delivered.

Focus, this is a very beautiful image of a very beautiful model for a first post.
The overall impact is strong enough that our immediate reaction is to look straight into the models strong camera engagement.
You can't make changes to the pose but I might(maybe?) take out those two fly-away hairs on the right.
I'm also not sure I'm crazy about the sorta sepia-ish color hue.
Otherwise it's VERY lovey pose of a very nice model. From what my mind reads into it, the pose worked well for her.
It looks to me like she is thin and not that curvy so it's an excellent use of her strongest assets while mitigating her less strong looks. Her naturally beautiful face, hair and perfect breasts are showcased which is exactly what the photographers job is, to show us her strengths!!! Nice job

Looks like the topic discussing the TOU has been deleted.

I love the back lit hair also.

When I joined the NRA, it was all about firearm training and safety. In later years it became an organization for other interests. Maybe you missed the training and safety part.

Just my opinion, but posting degraded, lo-rez, heavily watermarked, inferior pics to a photography website to avoid the likelihood of the work being appropriated by the website defeats the purpose of posting in the first place. For me, I post for constructive criticism of my work. How that can happen with seriously inferior photos is beyond me.

Oh, no! I just gave UHH worldwide rights to Google, WikiPedia and Flickr.
I am sure the law does not work that way. If Google's TOU said that Google owned your home if you do a search on Google I am sure that would not be enforceable.

Yeah, it surely wouldn't work in the examples you give. Since you do not own Google, WikiPedia, and Flickr (taking a wild guess here), you do not have anything to license, so your analogy is not apt. A link to photos you own MAY be interpreted to fall within the extremely broad claims of the UHH TOU. Like I said, I am not a lawyer, only advising to "be careful."

A model just gave me a suggestion: "Why don't you just post your worst photos?" Another idea, as posted above, is the idea of posting a link to photo hosted off UH.

"...any communication between Visitor and Website is deemed a submission."

Not a lawyer but I would be careful about posting a link, which is considered a "submission", license of which you have granted to the website.

In all fairness, the TOU is plain as day. I am guilty of not checking before posting, so I cannot complain except to not post a photo again, which is shame. Kind of defeats one of the purposes of the site.

With all due respect, that is NOT an excuse. I am a lifelong member of the NRA and that is an irresponsible image. Sorry, but it's the image that matters. If you pose adult models who LOOK underage and commit sex acts, you are guilty of child pornography, a very serious crime. Get the concept? Other than that, nice shot.

How does that work with Adobe Stock? If someone pays to download a photo, can they then use it as they see fit for as long as they want, including re-selling it?

I don't know. Check the Adobe Stock TOU. Absent something specifically granted, I would think not, but I am not a lawyer. As long as your copyright metadata is preserved, you are clearly the owner, I would think.

I agree completely. I was not aware that UHH owned the rights to submissions. As I understand it, a photographer retains the copyright even if a photo is published in a book or magazine. I have published photos and have given permission to the publisher to do so. I did not sign away my rights. Any legal types here?

To be clear, I believe the photographer retains the copyright, but by submitting to the website you are granting a license to the website to use the photo as it sees fit.

That and the website's practice of stripping ownership metadata from the thumbnails, though not the downloaded files.
