green- IF there is overwhelming evidence and it can't be spun any other way it will come out as terrorism. Does he know something we don't? Is there an insulting youtube movie out there? Isn't it strange that none of the survivor's are being interviewed? Has there ever been a case of workplace violence where the killer went home, suited up, got the wife, dropped of the baby, threw together a bunch of bombs and went back to the workplace for some workplace violence? The voracity of our commander in chief is more suspect than most politicians. I do understand the tenuous nature of the American psyche right now and some consideration to that should be given. If it was or wan't an ISIS plot, they are not going away. Why is the Russian President now leading the world with this threat? And leading it to suit their agenda, not the rest of the world. Somebody ought to sit Mr Obama down in front of a TV and make him watch High Noon. Sometimes "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do." The concept seems foreign to him. The world is full of evil and contrary to his beliefs it won't be cured by our burning less fossil fuels.

Jackel, Though some of the information in your bit has been updated, failing to call radical islamic terrorism by its true name is how they can sway the statistics. Even shouting allah akbar or what ever it is, while shooting people doesn't get labelled terrorism. Good for prez's statistics and claims of no domestic islamic terrorism, but those ft hood soldier's families are denied benefits, throat cutter in OK... phooey those are just crazies. But when a crazy shoots people in a PP location that is right wing Christian radical. They say no go pros now. I have to wonder about that. They wouldn't hide those from us because they are anti-white house dialogue would they?

It amazes me that some feel gun control is the answer to violent crime. It doesn't work in Chicago, Detroit, NYC, anywhere. In fact the opposite is true. In non open carry states violent crime is over 23% higher per 100k population than open carry states. Robbery is 36% higher. Think of it this way... Armed criminals = wolves. Unarmed population = Sheep. If the possibility that some of those sheep are packing heat, the wolves go elsewhere. It is like putting an alarm company sign in your yard without having an alarm installed. Does the criminal bother to find out? The loon in Colorado didn't go to the nearest theater showing the batman movie to kill, He went to the nearest theater with a "no concealed carry" sign to kill.

Shellback, I haven't been down in about two weeks, but the elk have been active in the valley pastures. They are still in rut but they will be moving up into the hills for acorns with the grass freezing back. There are some cabin options in Ponca, Jasper, Boxley Valley area. I don't know what your interest in long walks may be, but there are some great ones in the area. Lost Valley, Whitaker Point, Smith Creek Preserve, Goat Trail in order of difficulty... many more if you are fit.

A frosty morning in the Boxley Valley. This area is one of my favorites in the state. Not only the Elk herd that was reestablished here in the 80s and roam the entire Buffalo River Wilderness Area but some of my favorite hikes and views. The first picture was of some curious sheep that wanted to meet as I was trying to sneak up to get some shots of wood ducks on a nearby pond, The second was of a few of the elk is caught as the sun came up. A herd of about 30.
