I like #9 the best but they all look really good to me, I recently took pictures at a school function and I was very disappointed in them. Good job as far as I am concerned

Love this, and I hope you dont mind, but I would love to download this photo and work with some pics of my grandsons and put them in with mater as they love him and the boys are young.

I know you are looking for better quality of your photo's but you have caught some really great expressions which in time I am sure will be priceless. Just my opinion

The smaller number of your f-stop, the more "bokeh" or less Depth of Field you will achieve. That is what makes the background blurry. It should be done in camera rather than try to fix it later.

Thank you MomentsPhoto, I knew it was to be done camera side but wasn't sure of the setting. I just got a Pentax an older version and wanting to learn so much and the bokeh effect is one that I really want to learn especially when taking pictures of the grandchildren. I am learning so much from this site, and it is becoming like an addiction for me, I must come here daily to see and learn. You all have a great day.

Also, the greater the distance between your subject and the background, the gereater the bokeh effect.

Thank you GT for that interesting nugget of info, that should come in handy when actually trying to pose the mob of movement, which usually doesnt happen too often as they range from 13 months to 11yrs but with Christmas here the opportunity might arise

Oh no wine is much more fun than bokha :D

I will have to agree that the wine is better but think after a little wine the whole picture might come out blurry

Set the aperature to f/5.6 or even wider, f/4, if your lens allows. The wider the aperature, the shallower the depth of field.

Would this create the same effect as bocah?

I love the way you got great shots of the crowd, the expressions on the children are just priceless. Afterall, they are the ones that help keep us young at heart. Super job

OK. 3/4 cup of hot water in a measuring cup. Dump in the contents of these two packages.

It will foam up and you will see the different colored crystals in the foam.

By the time I got the camera set up, most of the foam had gone but the color crystals still showed.

good one
