***UPDATE***

Problem solved... The iPad does NOT like 1080i (1920x1080,60i). So NO interlace!! The apple guy didn't know that either. I shot a quick video with him on the phone with the new settings. That happened to be the default movie setting. Changed it to 1920x1080,30p and now it works great.

Now I still have to convert those other videos, but at least the problem is solved.

I upgraded to iOS 9.1 and now it at least says "unsupported video format". Back to square one.

Anyone one else with a d5200 having the same problems?

D5200 video, need to convert?

Any other d5200 people having or not having problems playing their videos on their iPads?

Was on the phone w/Apple and I have NOT updated to the newest iOS yet. They feel this might be the problem.

I did check my storage, and still had plenty left. I did some research, and it IS related to the format of the d5200 videos so I do need to convert them. But thanks for the idea, ABJanes.
