Thanks for the responses. Bob, Dasheene is the restaurant at our resort so I am looking forward to that. Also it seems most of the suggestions are right in that area of the island so I lucked out.

Next month my wife and I will be going to St Lucia for a week. The resort we are staying at is at the Pitons so I have that covered. Are there any other "must photograph" places I need to know about?

The first two were at Middle Creek Wildlife Refuge -Northern Lancaster Co. This can really be interesting around Feb for the Snow Geese migration 1,000,000+ birds.
The third was a small wetland on S Centerville Rd just west of the city, a location I have posted several Egrets and Herons from.
The fourth is a low head dam on the Little Conestoga just west of Millersville and the last is at Safe Harbor Park in Manor Twp, south of Millersville.

The dam is a low head dam on the Little Conestoga just outside Millersville. The last is the Conestoga at Safe Harbor Park. The first three are at Middle Creek.

Just got a Nikon 70-200 and decided to try it out at a local wetland area. What a difference from the kit lens! Here are a few from the beginning of the learning curve.

They were there when I got there and they stayed. About four Egrets and two Herons, along with a host of smaller birds and butterflies.
