And, YOU were being polite?? come on now, all sanctimonious in your intentions? No way lets stop the lectures. I said I see tattoos and I think "STUPID" that was my response to Jerrys' topic. Is that not allowed in our country anymore ? I'm not very interested in being politically correct, for folks like you. I simply stated that when I see tattoos, I automatically think.."STUPID" it was an honest opinion. You have chosen to criticize me as some sort of UNWORTHY vet and on an on . Trust me, I am IGNORING you going forward, And you can PROTECT your tender sensibilitys by doing the same by me.. ANON
And, YOU were being polite?? come on now, all san... (show quote)

Find me the line where I was impolite ? In fact , you did not just say stupid. You've supported the other comments like Tramp . A big man like you should just get off the high horse you are now, and apologize the two women you've insulted. Read your own comments, and investigate your likes to other answers, cause it's not for nothing you get my rand.

Ignore me ... that's how they do it in kindergarten. Like I care.

Kiss off !! Many of us just stated HONESTLY how/what we feel about TATTOOS. Everyone makes judgements on every issue that comes into their purview on any given day. Some of us feel that way, you feel another, but you just choose to get crude!! Fortunately for all of us "WE have the IGNORE mode to go to, and YES!! I am suggesting ...You can GO TO!!....

Kiss off ... GO TO .. why dont you complete the sentence? You were doing so well a little while back. Or are the words to harsh to express your opinion now ?
I did not know that this place was ment to tell your opinion about something in the most disrespectful ways. In fact as I recall on the rule of the UHH it is asked to be polite. Look up that in the dictionary. One would think a so called vet as you learned that years ago.

Next time you aske me to go to ...then you can kiss my European !!!......

Is this the American way ? If you dont like something, then bully ?
I've read words like stupid, tramp, idiot, mutilation. Well if you dont like the subject , get the freaking off the thread, you do nothing else than just bullying. Can't belive I am reading such disrespectful comments.
I am so looking forward to find a thread from you guys with something that's not my cup of tea , and I shall insult as good as I can. After all , if it's not good for me, you have to be stupid.

What I do, is submit my reply, then go back and click on what I just wrote. It opens in a different window where you can add attachments, smilies, etc.
Would like to see your tat.

Ah, thanx for the tip, I shall try now.

Jepp , I do have a body tottoo
Taken in 2012 , in a time when I had a very rough time in my life. It is a tribal inspired Koi fish , going from my left chest down and ending on my lower back. The eye is my nipple :)
It was drawn by a dear friend of mine who is not with us anymore.

I also would like to supplement with some more.
I dont regret it , and never will , and I have not tattooed from and artistic point of view. I wanted to post an image , but can't seem to understand how I do in this post as the option add photo is not available.

EDIT ,, now I know how to add a photo , thanx to Firtree:)

I wonder if those who have used these ART lenses could comment (and reassure me)

I am considering the same lens that the OP is asking about.

Keep in mind that lens and others in the series DO NOT HAVE VR - optical stabilization. This might be a consideration.

To those who have this lens - is there any drawback to the fact that it doesn't have optical stabilization?

I have the 50mm 1.4 Art on my ff D750 and I absolutely love it. Lack of VR has never been an issues for me. The times I am concerned about not having VR has to be under long exposure. But then again , what would VR help with in a 2 seconds and above exposure.

VR or not , that has been covered here on UHH in several threads.

no wonder they complain about the sound quality when talking on the phone. It seems they dont use the smartphone for it's primary function. cause every test on new phones is the camera. Go figure...

Not sure what the best advice it would be, but if you wanna start fresh, I would suggest formatting the harddrive first.
If you have not heard the latest news , CCleaner had a major infection, and the advice to get clean is actually formatting the drive.

To be sure: format.

They reset the shutter count?! I've never heard of that being done. It's like resetting the odometer on a car - not very honest. The new shutter may have only three clicks, but the camera has done a lot of work.

I understood they replace it with a new one, not reset. I would not mind to have a new shutter on mine :) even I only have 30k clicks.

Really interested in the fine tune you do. Is it difficult to do? How much does the dock cost?

I own a 50mm 1.4 Art and I my friend use this https://www.sigmaphoto.com/sigma-usb-dock to fine tune mine.
I gave it a try to fine tune it in camera, but it was time consuming and did not have the same adjustment range as the dock had. While I was impressed with the sharpness out of the box, I noticed I was missing focus on the eyes, a lot. And got me questioning how I am missing this often. That's how I discovered it was front focusing and needed adjusting.
USB dock makes it easier and faster then in-camera option.

Wow, I really hope my D750 will get the same treatment here in Europe as well.
Did also returned it cause of the recall this year. So far been waiting 4 weeks and yesterday they told I must wait a couple of weeks more. Something about that there is a lot of people who are returning D750 in behalf of this recall so they have a lot to do. My D750 is in Estonia :D

Also I complained a little about the spots I keep getting in exact same area/spot on the senzor which I suspect to be the old problem with oil from shutter.

So I am waiting very excited to see if mine going to get the same treatment.

So far I can send a thumbs up to Nikon that agreed to lend me D810 for next week when I am in really need for a camera.
Initial I was told it will take 2-3 weeks.
