Thanks for your input. I do have three varying lenses for the 750 and aa additional 70-300mm lens for the v3. The later lens seems unaffected on the v3. It is quite sharp still, so I suspect I might have adjusted the 10-100mm in some way and saved that setting. Although it is a mystery how. I will try the web site you recommend and refer back to my manual. If all else fails I will call Nikon on Monday.
Thanks

I am going on a trip shortly and I am bringing my Nikon v3 as backup to my Nikon d750. I was "fiddling" with my focus menu with the 10-100mm lens mounted. It has always, I felt, been a sharp lens but since the "fiddling" it seems to have gone to a softer focus. I think I must have altered something either in the camera or the interaction of the camera with this lens. This trip is taking me to Antarctica so I do not want to return with soft pictures. I am not sure if I am looking at and testing my photos more critically than before in anticipation of this trip and seeing what in fact was always there. Or if I made some sort of maladjustment.
If anyone has encountered a similar situation or has an advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Leaving on Tuesday.
Thank you

Thanks for your input. The little cover is flipped closed everything else is in order. I tried to print something from a windows photo program and it printed fine. But again, not so from my Lightroom 4. I' m thinking it is a computer issue but not sure where or how to solve it. I have an Apple laptop with Lightroom and I'll install the canon software on this and see if it works even though the dell pc has a better monitor.

I did. They said a tech would return my call. No call back.

I recently purchased a canon pro 100 printer from B and H photo. The initial setup seemed to go smoothly, the wireless network found the printer right away. When I sent a photo to be printed from Lightroom on my Dell desktop, the printer received the message and seemed to start the printing process. However after a short period a message appeared that there was no paper. I tried the " rear" tray and the "manual" tray and the same message came up, no paper. After numerous attempts,I remembered during setup I had checked an extra box, something like EXT driver. So I went back and did the installation all over again, making sure that box remained unchecked and voila it printed a beautiful black and white print. Problem solved.......or so I thought. About a week later I tried printing and the same error message came up again and again. No paper. I have 10 days to return it to B and H but would rather resolve the issue in house. Incidentally, when I spoke to a salesperson in the printer dept he asked if I used Photoshop. I said no and he said that sometimes he had issues with his pro 100 using Lightroom but not Photoshop. Anyone out there with a similar experience.... And resolution?

I will be going there October, looking forward to any pictures you might post and any photographic insight you developed as a result of your experience.
I would guess if you can only bring one lens, stick with the Tokina. In a place like that the wider the better.
