Thanks superflytnt
It set up on C1.
I photographed all the settings on my phone. Put my camera in av mode copied all the settings and it did not work. That is better for me to use C1 for HDR. Still something odd with my camera but I am happy with the outcome. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks superflytnt. I don't normally use it myself. an occasion arose and I thought I wonder how hdr would handle it only to find it did not work. I agree with you a setting in a menu is the likely cause which is why I tried hedgehog to reach wider audience. I have spent the last 2 days trying to resolve it going through the menus and asking on line with no success.

Thanks for commenting. I did try it with just jpeg and it was the same. I know I have tried using hdr previously and it worked.

HDR mode greyed out. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it?

I always keep the raw files. As my processing skills improve I have been able to return to the raw files and make a better edit.

Will someone please point me in the direction of a technique to remove objects (mostly people) from a series of photos to create an image without unwanted moving objects?

If you are using photoshop. Content aware move tool it looks looks an x. draw around what you want to remove hit delete. you get a box to tick if you are happy click ok. If it does not do a good job undo try removing it bit by bit. Make a copy of your photo to practice on.

As my Photoshop skills improved over the years I have found I can go back to old photos and improve on the original.

I've apparently been away too long. I'm using Photoshop CC on subscription. I used to be able to open a raw file, make changes to the image and the save it as a PSD or JPG directly. I just tried it and JPG is not a choice. What happened and how do I save CR2 images as JPGs?

Hi
If you have changed your cr2 files to 16 bit they will not open as jpeg. try image mode then a menu will tell you what your files are
When saving check that the default is save as jpeg if not drop down menu will give you another choice/
Hope this helps.

I had a problem like this and it turned out to be the card reader. Try to download your pictures through a different media ie direct from the camera.

If your camera has live view try that. Set aperture to what you want then alter shutter speed till you get the exposure you want. Use manual focus then 10 sec timer or remote control. On my camera I can move the focus point via jockey button. I use back button focus so I can autofocus and the shutter release does not affect the focusing

Get a photographer to do the main shots and if you have a 200mm lens stand in the background and take unposed pictures of people being natural. I did this at a friends wedding and got some great pictures. There was no pressure to get them right, if they did not work it did not matter. this would be great learning experience for you without the worry.
