Great, thanks. No rush.

I do have a Dropbox account but wouldn't every member have to open an account to access files I upload to my account for sharing?
We do use a Google Docs spreadsheet for our membership as a phone/email list, and email the members a link to the list which they can just click on to see the list or print it if they want. That is pretty simple, and the list is easily updated.

So each member's photo and text would be a separate layer? Or would the 3 or 4 member photos that would be on the same booklet page be a single layer? The only multiple layers I have worked with have been on a single photo that I edited, not multiple layers that would print out as multiple pages in a book. Or perhaps I am not correctly following what you are suggesting.
A landscape booklet might work ok.

The size I would like would be letter sized pages if printed that would have 3 or 4 member photos with accompanying bio and contact data for each member per page.

I own both programs: Photoshop Elements 11, which I am somewhat familiar with, and Photoshop CS5.1 which I have not yet learned to use. If I use your template, will I be able to save the book in some format that will allow me to distribute copies of the book to my club members? For instance, I save Elements psd photo files as JPEGs when I want to email copies to family members that don't own Elements or Photoshop. Or will I be able to send a link to members to a copy of the book saved somewhere in the cloud? The club members are senior citizens, and most have only basic computer technology skills.
Thanks.

I would like to create a photo book for my senior men's club, organized alphabetically, providing spaces for photos and for accompanying brief bio text information, which would be easy to update for new members, can be printed, and/or attached to an email (as a pdf file?) to distribute to members. We have approximately 60 members, so 3 or 4 members per page would probably be good. Is there a template for such a photo book for group members? I am thinking about PowerPoint, or Google Docs Slides if there is no template available.

Thanks. I actually ran across Company7's gitzo section in my web search last night (Google, of course!). It appears they are selling more recent Gitzo models than my vintage model, which is no longer manufactured. I found a couple articles about Gitzo's history today and learned that models of my vintage were made before they were assigned numbers. So, my tripod is simply a Series 2 Gitzo Reporter Performance, with "Reporter" indicating Series 2 (28mm leg size) and "Performance" meaning that it has leg spreading. Here is the "key" to these vintage models:

Series 00 (16 mm): Loisir (later, Table)
Series 0 (20 mm): Weekend
Series 1 (24 mm): Total/Sport (later, Sport)
Series 2 (28 mm): Reporter
Series 3 (32 mm): Studex
Series 4 (37 mm): Super Studex/Pro Studex
Series 5 (41 mm): Tele Studex

Standard = no leg spreading
Performance = leg spreading
Rapid = non-geared column
Cremaillere = geared column

Very interesting. Never knew exactly what I had.
Thanks again for all your help.

Well, I removed the center column (don't think I ever did that in all the years I owned this tripod), and lo and behold look what I discovered! This confirms it is in fact a Gitzo Reporter (Performance Gilux), as you said, although I still can't figure out which particular model number I have in this series. The photos you suggested I look at made me aware that some Gitzos have their identity hidden under the center plate, which led me to this discovery. I'll try to track down specs for this series so hopefully I can figure out what model number I have. Thanks very much for your help.

I don't know what exact model.
Google" Gitzo 126 images", and you will probably pull up a lot of them.
Mine are 14.75" folded and weigh 2.75 lbs. They are 4 section and I use them for travel. Otherwise they look identical. Good luck! ;-)

So you are suggesting it is in fact a Gitzo but was a gray market import? In those days I bought some of my equipment from 47th St Photo in NYC, so I guess that's possible, even though I usually wanted U.S. warranties when I purchased equipment. Also, didn't foreign versions of Gitzo equipment still have manufacturer or model markings on them? As an amateur hobbyist, I just don't know enough about this. I do remember that I wanted a very good tripod because with nature macro photography (mostly flowers in my case) the slightest movement could ruin the shot, and the tripod was not inexpensive.

I need help identifying my tripod because I am thinking of selling it. It is very sturdy and well made. My recollection is it is a Gitzo, but I can find no brand name or model markings on it. I purchased it about 30 years ago and used it primarily for nature macro work because of the ability of the legs to extend low to the ground with the leg locks open, and also used it for video because it extended to 55" high (without considering the tripod head). I also have two removable center columns. Photos are attached. Can anyone identify what I have? (My tripod head is a Bogen 3047, which I also will probably sell). Thanks

If you use iMovie to edit your video, here is a useful article explaining your options for capturing single frames:

I agree with Linda. We took our kids and 8 year old triplet grandkids last June, and glad I decided to leave the heavy gear at home. It was very hot and I wound up holding purses and water bottles while the young folk rode the coasters. I wanted to take movies as well as stills, so I just took my Sony Handycam and a nice lightweight P&S (Panasonic FZ35 with 18 optical zoom) in a swing around shoulder bag, and signed up for the Disney Memory Maker package ($149 if purchased in advance). The package is very worthwhile since I got to be in many of the photos with the family instead of always being behind the lens, and they capture everyone in our group on the thrill rides, which you can't shoot anyhow (your wristband identifies your photo account automatically). As a bonus, they have all sort of cool Disney borders you can add when you download the photos from their website. My camcorder also has a "smile" feature which automatically captured many nice print shots in the course of taking the movies of the kids.
