Indeed. My father worked for Eastman Kodak for 45 years. I grew up with film, and it was a sad day when Kodachrome died. I still haven't gotten over it. Everything you say about it is true. Look at films like Robin Hood, or OZ. Looks like they were made yesterday because of Kodachrome. Amazingly beautiful.
Thank you. Most helpful and appreciated.
Yes, I was asking about a possible upgrade to the camera. Don't know how film got into the mix. My question has nothing to do with film, even though the camera is from Fujifilm.
After a lot of research, I would like to buy the Fujifilm X-E1. My concern is the possibility, given the nature of things, that Fuji might introduce an X-E2. Has anybody heard of any plans for this? (There was nothing to this effect at the recent CES show in Vegas.) Many thanks.
Thank you. This is quite informative and valuable. I will keep this as a sort of mini-manual for future use. Most helpful.
To the last 3 responders - THANK YOU.
Very much appreciated. Hedgehog people are truly brilliant.
Thank you. This sounds great, and I will try it out later today. Much appreciated.
Thank you very much. I will try this , and check the results.
I also think you are right about them not knowing much. I asked them at the very start if they would like prints, and they said no, they wouldn't want to deal with so much paper. Thanks again.
I agree, I thought the request to be bizarre. I do not think my submissions will be printed, so I, too, don't get the 4" part. Thank you.
Here is the specific requirement I must have for a proposal:
no larger than 2MB, set to 300 DPI, and no smaller than 4" on shortest side.
Could someone please interpret this , and perhaps suggest a decent program that is of help? I have tried FN Converter, PicResize to no avail.
I need to put my photos on CD.
Many thanks.
Agreed - old cameras are great to look at and just have around.
Fascinating, exquisite, precision machines of a day gone by. Celebrate that! Buy one on the cheap and pass it on. Use it as an educational tool. The camera on the right, lower shelf has a very strange looking lens.
Thank you. I do not own/use this Fuji. On paper, it just seems to have a lot going for it. Especially the manual settings of Bulb and Time. Also , with adapter, it accepts Leica lenses. Just wanted to know if anybody has any hands on. It "dropped" I think in January.
This camera looks great. Buttons on top, just like old times, like with Olympus OM1. Q? Does anyone use one , or know about it?
