Some Solar eclipse results. Did you properly use a ND Solar filter for the partialities and remove for the totality?
I was not in the path of a total eclipse, here in Pismo Beach CA. But got these partial eclipse shots:
Thanks for the responses. This is what I expected (and hoped). Doing videos with my d750 & Tamron 150-600 was a pain.

While on the topic of nikon mirrorless, i am planning on getting a z6 III (when available, i think) and can't find an answer about doing videos. Since the Z's are mirrorless, can i take a video while viewing thru the eyepiece?
Thank you,
Michael
Well, i have since found my eyepiece cover. The model number is DK-5
Light was entering the eyepiece and on to the sensor (mirror up for 4 minutes) So, I covered the eyepiece with cardboard and towel (taped on). Nikon makes a gizmo for covering the eyepiece - just couldn't find mine.
Hope this helps..
Michael
That did the trick, thanks again
Oh yes - totally agree. Thank you for quick response
Trying to figure out why I am getting this red banding, which gets worse with smaller aperature. These two pictures were taken at about 8:30 am pst, 4 min exposure, ISO 100, f8 & f16 respectively. Seems that with the smaller aperture, the red banding got worse. Taken with Nikon D7100, 16-80 mm lens. Using lens hood, out of the sun on my veranda. Trying to do a long exposure of a SpaceX launch tomorrow (Sunday 29th) at 8:45am
Is this thru O.A.T. by any chance? We are scheduled for Nov 2022
I took pictures - from Pismo Beach. A lot of marine layer and the missile was not visible until it got fairly high - but sky still a bit hazy. This is what i got. Used Nikon D750 & Tamron 150-600.
You can control what is included in Picasa by going to 'Tools', then select 'Folder Manager'. There you have choices of Scan Once, Remove from Picasa, Scan Always. You can do this to any folder(s). See attached graphic
I discovered that if I save the email with embedded images as a web page (HTML), you will have the HTML file, but also a folder with the images in it. This comes in handy when people send me multiple images for posting on our club site which are embedded in the body of email as opposed to being attachments..
