I Think the problem may have been operator error. I had the auto set for single and I wasn't putting the point on my subject therefore it was focusing on a different point in the frame. When the point is on the subject it does just fine thanks for the help
The frame in the viewfinder is blurred unless I manuelly correct it
Thanks I hope so I was hoping to break it in over the holidays I can always use the manuel focus for now I guess
Hello folks I am new to photography and have been lurking in the background for some time I purchased the 50mm lense for my d3100 from B&H I excitedly put it on the camera but it seems to not focus properly in auto focus mode. Is it the lense or is there a setting in the camera? The kit lense works just fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated
talked to the guy on the phone decided to save my money for a newer model :)

The lenses are for a nikon fg camera
it posted on craigs list for 150.00 I thought how could I go wrong possible miss print I suppose
all of the equipment is suppose to be nikon supposed too have paid over two grand when origanally purchased
I am a newby but came across film camera on craigs list with lens 300mm,128mm, 50mm will they work on my d3100 also I can't find any info on a 128 mm lens
