I have been off my boat for 15 years. Before that I was sailing the oceans around the world. Ham radio kept me in touch with friends in many countries and aboard they boats. Theres email and text etc
I suffered a heart attack in June and have had to really slow down.
I thought about hanging several dipoles but all trees around are old and can topple over at any time. I guess it was time.
I guess I finally decided to give up Amateur Radio. About a year ago my property insurance broker ordered that I had to take down my tower. Insurance in Florida can be hard to find for several reasons.
I listed my Icom ICC 706 on eBay today.
Sad day, I have been a ham for about 50 years.
I want to sell my Canon 70-200mm Lens and the Canon extender X2 both are in perfect cognition. The extender works well on this lens and will auto focus. I have only used the extender twice and the results were great. I used the lens mostly at dog shows. I don't do that any more so the lens is packed away. I am asking $1200 for both.

[quote=Geezer Bill]Great shot!! The hawk looks a bit large for a Coopers Hawk in comparison with the Cattle Egret. Could this be a Goshawk? I know the normal range for the Goshawk is quite a bit north of your location, but the east coast weather has been pretty nasty. I had a job for several years that required that I work with falconers and I learned that they would have some very exotic raptors. It would be interesting to see if this bird had any sign leather on its legs.[/quote
I had a bit of a problem as the Sharp-shinned and the Cooper's look alike. This bird was a Cooper's as it had the telltail white tip on its tail. There is no leather on the legs. I have about 50 images of this hawk.
Thanks for the comment.

On February 18th 2019 I was photographing my dog running a fast Cat course. This is where the dog chases a lure for 100 yards and is timed. I had my Canon 7D Mk2 and a Canon 70-200mm f2 lens. When I turned away I caught a Coopers Hawk attack a Cattle Egret. I probably took 5o pictures.

This was another bird I had to chase for about an hour. My 100 -400 lens got very heavy.
I just returned from a trip down to Big Bend National Park. Boy, was it hot. I took several pictures of Road Runners with my Canon 7D with a Canon 100-400 lens.
Hi Alan, I knew there was a good reason that Canon did not include the wifi in the 7D. I am still not sure I need the extra feature. Thank you for the information. I have a battery grip that I use when I am shooting video. It takes a lot of battery and storage. It does a great job though.
Thank you St3v3M for the information. I guess if I really need the wifi interface I will look at another camera. A friend informed me that he had wifi on his camera and it was probably his 70D. I am impressed with the performance of the 7D and I will hang on to it for a while longer.
Appreciate that you took the time to provide me with information.
Thank you, I guess I will look into the 7Dmkll I has a wifi built in. I lost my manual some time ago so I do appreciate you information.
I have had my Canon 7D for a long time and just noticed the rubber cover on the bottom of the camera. I thought it was for attaching the battery grip but I was wrong. The manual is not very clear as to what this terminal is for but one asuggestion is that it is for a wifi terminal. Does anyone have a clue.
