Good evening Andrea, Loving your Beartooth Pass pictures! We were unable to get up to the heights you achieved due to snow arriving & in a couple of areas because of some of the fires. We could smell smoke at one point. But......your pictures are beautiful & peaceful! Your deer shot is also wonderful! Great camera! Hi Andrea, Love these pictures......especially 4 & 5.....The reflection of the bridge forming a circle is clever! And then those large boulders with the mist are quite stunning. I'm still working on my Canadian topics. Have a couple more to get around to before starting my Montana shots. Trying to space things out in between working full time! Becomes a challenge or at times....some very late nights! I'm going to recheck some of your Montana entries to see if I recognize some of the places you went. Later......Bob

Those first images show the last of the storm moving out and we had mostly sunny days for the next week until the last two days of the 12-day trip--pretty lucky considering the time of year. While there are scenes that benefitted from mist or storm clouds, I have to admit I was glad when we started getting more sunshine!

How are the autumn colors down your way? WNC is finally coming into color now. I still hope to get to Babcock SP and New River Gorge one of these days--I've been working on all the falls and scenics I'd like to visit on an over-nighter to the area. Missed the color this year, but maybe next?

BTW, Dan and I went down to SC recently and took the roads you and I used to go to Saluda, and darned if we didn't get onto the wrong road again. I think there is a sign either missing, differently names, or poorly located that's throwing things off. We even used the Garmin.

Hi Andrea! It did turn out to be a very productive trip despite the occassional snow showers and COLD temps. The autumn colors in Grand Teton at the iconic locations were minimal, but the overall itinerary provided some nice pockets here and there--especially going up the snake river corridor between Hoback Jnct. and Swan Valley. The one thing I missed out on was shooting the Milky Way--the sky just didn't clear enough during the nights without a moon. I did put the D750 to good use on this trip and have decided to sell the cropped sensor equipment. I plan to pack light from now on if I continue to travel cross country and, once I found a way to carry the FF in my old arm sling so that it doesn't weigh on my neck or swing loose and throw me off balance, the weight isn't an issue so much anymore.
P.S. Remember the picture of Sidney in dance garb that you said wouldn't be considered technically correct? I came across an excellent article on DPS with examples showing why that would be a very GOOD capture. If I can find it again, I'll send you the link.
