Nice images, I kinda like the one with the highway. I don't know why.

Looks like a pretty, and interesting drive. I like the one with the empty highway particularly, for some reason.

Thank you. It is a fun drive, very curvy road and lots to look at.

The BIF is a great catch, however I like the last tree stump. I would suggest a 175% crop or there abouts, and turn it into a landscape. Crop out the rocks in the foreground as they do not add anything to the photo. Then frame it and make it a wall hanger.

Thanks for sharing Cliff

Thanks for your input Cliff. 😃

I am in the market for a wide angle lens for my d610. I have been looking at the Nikon 20 1.8g which retails at B & H for $800. Recently, I have been looking at the Tamron 15 to 30 2.8 which was released as recently at 1/30/15. The reviews on this Tamron lens is great and when compared to the legendary Nikon 14 to 24 2.8 many say that it is at least as sharp and some say that it is better. the 15 to retails for $1,200.

I currently own only the Nikon 85 1.8g, which is tack sharp, and an old Nikon 24 to 120 3.5 to 5.6 left over from my film days. I shoot mainly landscape.

Finally, the 20g 1.8 can use a CPL filter while wth the Tamron 15 to 30 2.8 I will have to buy the filter holder and filters.

I know that the Tamron will provide me with versatility while the Nikon 20g 1.8 will not. What do you think?

I have been very pleased with the tamron 15-30 check out my last couple of gallery posts to see some sample shots I took with this lens.

Just remembered a couple rang the large bell out in front.
I guess you were standing close to it.

There isn't a bell there usually. it must have been a special occasion. Like the 24th of July, its pioneer day.
