It was about 4PM, facing west, no polarizer needed as I changed my position so the sun was out of the frame

This thanksgiving my wife and I stayed at an Inn built in 1870 in the north Georgia mountains. I took some photos of the area.

Frank, I see what you refer to. I took this photo at 17mm f2.8 from 30" away. I think that if I took the photo at 50mm from about 6' away, the bokeh would have been able to minimize the visability of the roof line. Thanks for pointing this out.

We do not get much snow in Atlanta but the other day we did get a couple of inches where I live. I took this shot about one hour into the storm. Two days before it was 70 degress and today it is 70 once again. Welcome to winter in Atlanta.
