Rocky, I am using a Kodak Z981. Using the manual control, I got some good results with f/2.8; 16 sec.; and ISO 400. But, I certainly will take a lot of shots, at various settings. I just realized that the moon will already by"up", so no moonrising shots. Tks. for the input. Bill
This Tuesday, Oct. 11, the moon will be full. We are off to the Grand Canyon to take some shots; the sun, as it sets; the moon, as it rises, but mainly the landscape using only the light from the moon.
On previous full moons, here at home, I did some experimenting with settings and I believe I have the f/stop; exposure time; & ISO speeds figured out, realizing I must take multiple shots, varying these settings, to maximize the quality. And, of course, I will use a tripod and a wind screen.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
As a lifelong, but not too skilled, photographer, I need to know more. I'm so happy I found this site and look forward to exchanging info with everyone.
