When I got this Galaxy Fit 3 watch, I mentioned that the magnetic charging cable has a USB-C fitting on the end. I ordered a pair of USB-C chargers for it. Today, I saw that I could have ordered a pair of USB-Type A charging cables for less money. I didn't like the idea of having just one cable to charge the phone, so now I have three. Where is standardization when you need it?

I hope this doesn't become a new trend - USB-C charging cables.

Isn’t USB-C supposed to be THE standardization?
Just about all new electronics, from iPhones to earbuds and wireless speakers now use USB-C.
With all my devices I now have a large collection of USB-A and-C cables or adapters.

A little Google survey popped up a few minutes ago. One of the questions was, "Do you think Google is concerned about your privacy?" Are they kidding? "Strongly disagree."

I agree with your response

If I remove the sim card from my current Samsung phone and put it into another Samsung phone, will I be able to use the second one as a phone, just like the original Samsung?

As I understand it, the SIM card stores all your data such as contacts, pictures, et al. You can set your phone to store all data on your phone via the SIM card, or in the cloud. If you remove the SIM card from one phone with all the data and insert it into another phone, you should be able to access that data on the second phone but not the original phone since you removed the storage on the SIM card.

I’m not sure that’s a perfect answer.

I, too, have a collection of transformers in my garage. I did, however, buy one or more universal chargers. The major problem with it is you need to find out polarity (positive or negative center.) they do work quite well. It would be nice to have a one size fits all transformer.

I’m not into boxing, but when I was about 8 years old my grandfather, who was a blacksmith in Ferndale, NY, knew Jenny Grossinger. He got permission from her to take me on the property where we watched Rocky Marciano trying in a Quonset Hut.
Very exciting. Good memory.

Selling the copper winding might be a good idea at this time. Copper is up over a dollar a pound from previous years.

Only 33 reviews total doesn’t tell me much. I like items reviewed by hundreds or thousands of users.

I have a 2018 Subaru Legacy. There are specific USB ports for data/media or just charging. I never used a flash drive for entertainment purposes but I’m pretty sure you can play music from a flash drive by selecting “Media” or “Source “ on the entertainment center.
I’m willing to bet that if the flash drive is formatted correctly, your entertainment center will automatically switch to media or to source when inserted when it’s turned on.
Have you ever listened to the radio and inserted a CD or DVD and the EC automatically switched to playback from the cd or dvd?

A window popped up on my computer after using my Epson L2350DW laser printer. It was a "WARNING" telling me that the toner was running low. I'm assuming that this is because the toner that shipped with the printer was a smaller amount than usual. I'll keep an eye on it and replace the cartridge before it runs out and stops printing. Or, maybe I should wait until it says it can't print anymore. I have two standard cartridges standing by.

I have bought printers that came with cartridges that were of a reduced size. Purportedly to get you started. Ink/toner is where most manufacturers make their money.

Not only is the GPS great for traveling, but it's also good for local driving. I had to drop something off in Woodstock yesterday before continuing on to Catskill. I figured I'd take my regular route through Woodstock, but the GPS had a different idea. It had me turn left and right and left and right on roads I had never taken before. It wasn't until I was a few miles from Catskill that I was on a familiar road. I don't know how much time I saved, but the GPS is set for the shortest time.

This has happened several times when I am at a local location and have to go to another local location. The GPS shows me a route that never would have occurred to me.

I know/knew that area. Some friends of mine owned a B&B in Round Top. We had lots of good times there.
