I have had my D7000 take a bath twice. When I got the D800/850 it became the “if it gets broke I don’t care camera” it now lives in the kayak for the summers. It has gone into fresh water twice. I immediately pulled the battery out and the lens off. I left it in the garage for a few days during the summer. No body cap and the battery door open. my garage gets between 120 and 140 during the day in the summer. Dried out and works just fine. Hope you can salvage yours.

Tonight all is well. There was an update that needed to be run(windows) and all Adobe products are now working properly. THANKS for the help.

Thanks everyone answers to the questions: no call to Adobe had the problem last night.
Giga bit (Cox) wired to desktop computer.
Windows 10 pro.
I will reinstall CC tonight.
I have the shortcuts on the desktop. During each update the shortcut is deleted and a new one is added to the desktop but it is put in the top left hand corner. The existing photoshop shortcut was removed but the new one was not added.

THANK YOU

Thanks for any insight anyone can provide.....
I have the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription and I am having problems. I have not used LR,PS Bridge Etc... since April. My Photoshop short cut is missing from the desktop and the Creative Cloud desktop shortcut is in the top left hand corner of my display. (this happens with every update) Creative Cloud is trying to load the applications and has been for 25 minutes. Does anyone know how to resent the update with out a complete reinstall? Thanks Again.

This may sound picky but you do not list "DX" on either lens is the 35mm a "DX" lens? if it is not labeled "DX" it is full frame. I went from the D7000 to a D800 (for wide angle). When I bought the D7000 new I had many Nikon film lenses (full frame) that I used on the D7000. That made the conversion easier. Now for the bad news, the D7000 is not worth much. They are selling on MPB for $230 to $260 which gets a seller maybe $100 to $150. I specifically kept my D7000 and am using it in my kayak. It has taken 2 dips in the lake water and thanks to quickly pulling the battery and Arizona heat it still works perfectly, 18-105 lens too. I also use it when I want more reach it gets the FOV of a 900 on my 150-600. There may be times when the crop factor or just having the second body is worth more than the $100-$150 bucks. If the lenses are both DX then you can keep or sell, your call. Just my two cents.

I have a 120 xqd and a 128 sd II and I have not filled both cards yet and I am an air show guy. Because the D850 is not native CFE there is a slight reduction in write speed. I have not personally tested this but you can find the articles. As pointed out the read speed would be an advantage. My load times for 1000 frames are a few minutes so I do not feel the read speed advantage is necessary at this time. For right now I am passing on cfe but I have done the firmware update just in case. Good luck what ever you decide to do. The D850 is a great camera.

Thanks for your response, Mr. T. I hadn't considered going outside the Nikon family, but I do own the Tamron 150-600 G2 lens, and why not check out the 70-200, too? Your additional suggestion of the 105 2.8 is also helpful. Thanks again.

I love the 70-200. I also have the 150-600 G2 so got the Tap in console. Took a little bit of time but both are razor sharp. Good luck with your search.

1. Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2. fast focus and sharp. Use it for portraits.
2. Nikon 50 f1.8. Only prime I own but sharp.
3. I would get a macro/micro lens for what you do. Probably the 105 f 2.8 they are designed to eliminate the problem you have. I am trying to decide between this and the 200 f4 for my macro lens.

I confirmed that with the camera off, the top display shows the number of frames based on the current quality setting. If I set it to TIFF I get 850, RAW gets 1200 on a 128GB card. This changes as I change the quality setting.

Don’t have my D850 handy but the display on the top will tell you how many frames are left. I think you have to select this option in setup. This also changes for any card and any format selection. Small raw, fine jpg etc. put in a 64 or 128 and the frames left changes. Sorry for this disjointed comment at work typing on a phone. Good luck.

I love my D850 so much that at the new rate of 2499 I may buy another. Used bodies are at 2119 to 2469 (MPB)so may as well buy a new one. There is nothing I can do that it can’t and so many things it can do that I can’t/ don’t. I would agree that it is probably the end of Nikon Dslrs.

A hair light would also put a little light on the shoulders and arm giving a little separation there too. Good luck.
