After you return from your trip and recover financially, you may want to obtain this software - http://photographylife.com/dxo-clearview-anti-haze-adjustment-first-impressions#more-99842 - which is quite impressive !

I just looked at your photo's stunning, is all I can come up with. WOW. Thanks.

If you have never been to the Grand Canyon before, be prepared to be overwhelmed at your first view of it. I suggest parking back and walking up for the first peek as well, it's a better effect. Bring all the lenses you want, just don't try to get it all in each shot. Get in position by sunrise if you can.

I will be there for 3nights and 4 days, plan on getting up for sunrise and doing sunset each night. Staying on the rim with a room that has a view, as I have been told. LOL

Thank you all for the support and the responses. I will be taking a tripod. I am taking a t3i and a rebel xs which my BF will use, we are planning on sharing lenses, so with all the comments and all the places we are going we are going besides the Grand Canyon, I plan on purchasing the 10-18mm since I have the 18-200 and the kit lens. I think that will give us a variety of different shots. Again Thanks.

Look for a used UWA and learn to use it. I don't think on a trip that I spend lots of money on is a place to learn a new product. Just saying!

I plan on purchasing now and learning how to use it before I go. Thanks

I need some input please. I have a Canon 18-200mm lens that I plan on taking to the Grand Canyon, in April. But I'm wondering if I should invest in the 10-22mm for the trip. Just for the wide angle shots. Any advice would be great.

Can anyone recommend a good neck strap, I really hate the feeling of the stock one that comes with the camera. Would like to find a thinner strap so it does not rub my neck all day while walking around with my camera. Going on a vacation and will be carrying my camera all day around my neck (feel it's more safe than a sling strap) with the lens I have my camera feels heavy. using a canon 18-200mm lens

Thanks in advance.

Can anyone recommend a good (reasonable priced) (can't afford to spend 100+ on a bag) backpack for a vacation trip to the Grand Canyon. Something that would be comfortable wearing while walking, around the canyon and sight seeing. I need to mention I do have a shoulder bag, and a sling, but don't feel they will be the best for all walking, I have a bad shoulder that was recently injuried.

Well just as an update to this, Thank you all so very much for all your input. The funny thing happened, I got so busy just setting up the wedding venue, food, decorations and all, my son loving child that he is, took my camera bag, and put it away and would not tell me where till after the wedding. He said there where plenty of people taking pictures with cell phones, and the photographer that was paid along with 2 others that where there to build on there portfolios that I did not know about. So he did not want me to have my camera, I did enjoy watching my son get married without using my camera. :) Thanks to all for all your help.

What Camera?.. What Flash?.. Distances, Ambient lighting?, Group shots, Portraits or action shots, etc. What exactly do you want to do.
My Crystal Ball is a bit foggy this morning.

Canon Rebel xs, Canon Speedlite 430EX II , any kinda shots I can get pretty much. lens right now is 18-200, I also have a kit lens, and a 50mm. I just don't want the flash to take over, I would love to get some pictures with the Ambient lighting, (lanterns, white xmas lighting, candles)

Ok, outdoor in a garden/landscaping business, with xmas lights and candles, lanterns. very romantic. about 70 people total. Reception is at same place following wedding. I do have someone taking pictures of the wedding ceremony, I'm just looking for advice to get pictures for the reception. my son told me that I have to have fun, and not worry about pictures, but I love taking the pictures. If anyone is on FB, you can look it up at Earthscapes Garden Room. Palm Harbor, FL I just want to make sure I have some good photos for myself.

I need assistance please. my son is getting married this weekend, no I'm not doing all the pictures, but I plan on taking some pictures, it's a night time wedding and I have been practicing with flash, however I need to know what is the best setting to leave my camera on? I want to get the lighting from the candles and lights, and not have it totally blown out by the flash. Any suggestions.
