A friend of mind has a release form on her iPhone. She asks the subject to sign it right then and there.
Wow! Thank you for that link. The content is very useful and the presentation a ton of fun.
I have to say this is most supportive site I have ever seen. Thank you for your invaluable insight. I will have to post an image or two if I am successful. Regards all.
With your explanations and lessons I feel very confident I can get a good image of the MW. How awesome. Can't wait. Thank you all!!!!
Thank you. I love the link. Here I go spending again!
I live in So. Cal and plan to go to Joshua Tree and Anza Borrego soon to photograph the night sky primarily. I am desperate to get a great Milky Way shot. I will probably add a Joshua Tree or two. I bought the Night Sky Chart. May through August seems to be a good time for this shoot. I don't know enough about the heavens to know the reason why these months are the best other than the MW is visible. I am aware it is best to have a moonless night(?) How do I know which month will give me the best shot of the MW? Bear in mind I am not too excited about staying up or getting up in the wee hours of the night for this shot, but if that is what I have to do, I will do it.
Also, I will be using a Canon lens 28-135 and a Canon 5D II. I suppose I could use my Sigma 15mm fisheye(?)
Thank you in advance for any input.
Great information!! Thank you all. I am bummed, though, because I cannot connect using Wi-Fi. But, my laptop will work like you suggest. I will definitely research it. Thank you.
Personal experience is always the best teacher. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Most helpful.
I would like to jump in here with a question concerning EOS remote since you are involved with the wi-fi. I won't be able to help you with your flash problem. I just bought my brother's Canon 5D II. I also have the original 5D. Can either of them work with the EOS remote app? Also, I don't have a tablet and would prefer the Android variety. Is it possible to have EOS remote with an Android? I am on a huge learning curve here and am trying to soften the corners.
I have been hearing that advice throughout. And the vest idea would work as well. Thank you for affirming what seems to be a fact.
I am so pleased with all the suggestions. I copy/pasted in part or in whole into my doc folder from everyone's feed. I feel like a pro flying and transporting equipment, and I haven't even done it yet!
Your avatar rocks, Bob.
(Hope you're feeling better, Cygone.)
Point well taken. I would love to fly first class, but . . . So, I will buy a small external hard drive and keep it glued to me as well as leave a copy of the files where I am staying. Everyone has given me a lot of food for thought and invaluable lessons. Thank you.
Wow. These are very interesting lessons. I have been scratching the surface of my computer use and hiring someone to "fix" everything thereby learning nothing. Looks like I'm in it now. Thanks for the needed info and lessons. On my way to Fry's to buy a small external hard drive. Fantastic idea.
Yes, I shoot RAW. Probably 1000 shots for the day. Cloud is out. Thanks for that info.
Thank you everyone!! It's nice to have feedback on actual experiences. I was wondering about the Cloud. And I will look in the Kato bag, Dropbox, Flickr. All good suggestions. Thank you soooooo much.
