Your thoughts on this photo.
I'm still shocked how close I was to this hawk.
Thanks Steve, I'll try doing so post work to these photos. I just have not had the time to work on photos lately.
Here are a couple red tail hawk shots I took at a beach in Santa Cruz, Ca
Not sure of the hours. I was there after dark and people were coming and going with no park rangers to be seen.
Great shots, nice variety of birds to shoot in one day.
Yea this spot is a great spot to take pictures. But it can be very windy.
Your HDR shots look good. HDR is not for everyone because of peoples taste. HDR is a fun way to change or enhance a subject. So if you overcook a photo as long as it looks good to your eye. Roll with it. Keep shooting and keep having fun with HDR.
Very nice shot. Looks way to cold but very nicely done.
Yes I used a tripod with a 45 second exposure. The winds were gusting at about 45 to 55 MPH that night. I glag my Manfrotto 055Pro was heavy enough to stand it's ground with the wind. One of the lights were out but with a little PS work I got it working. The areas of the tower that look soft is because the patchy fog that was coming in. Thanks for all your comments everyone.
