Why not just take a manual writing instrument (pen & ink) and actually write your signature on the print - there are all sorts of suitable pens/markers with various color ink options available - simple, affordable and personal!

The visible portion of the solar disk is over exposed. Shoot in manual, set the metering mode to "spot" and aim the camera so that the metering spot is centered on the visible portion of the solar disk.

THAT !! would be rather astounding.

The lesson here is that the UHH clown car is not necessarily better than that camera store clerk. Its perfectly possible that the OPs DX lens is an old shaft drive AF lens that cannot AF on the FTZ converter. Photos attached.

If the OP will post pix of the ID nomenclature on his DX lens, or a good clear pic of the lens flange, this particular issue would be settled.

What would have been amazing was not to mix units - the frame size that the Z6 would default to with a DX lens is 24mm x 16mm (3936 x 2624 pixels). The most common myth I hear is that a DX lens won't work - they probably will work, but some maybe with limited functionality!

I moved from a D7200 to a Z6ii this past June and have the FTZ adapter. If you put a DX lens on, the frame size goes from 36mm x 24mm to 3936mm x 2624mm. The DX lens is designed to cover the DX sensor which is smaller than an FX. See page 753 in the Z6 manual.

I do have some FX glass (not Nikkor) and they work wonderfully with the Z6. I really like the Z6!

Hi there - I have had this lens for about 5 years and first bought it to use with my Nikon D7200. I now use it with the Nikon FTZ adapter on my Nikon Z6ii. I get superb results with both bodies and also have the dock which I use to customize some of the shooting features. However, I do not use the dock to "fine tune" focussing. Rather I use Reikan FoCal software to accomplish this task. As I recall, Focal will "advise" the user what distance to place the target at. I does vary with the focal length the lens is set at. I usually fine tune at the min and max focal lengths.

900mm equiv. focal length on the 500 crop frame ......the size/weight/focal length warrants a tripod IMO, but a good monopod/technique CAN work if you are strong and serious !

It is my understanding that the focal length is 600mm...the field of view on an APS-C camera body, however, looks as if a 900mm lens is being used. The magnification of the lens is still that of a 600 mme lens whether it;s on a full-frame or a crop sensor body.
