Thanks. One can be out there and not see anybody else for days!

The following shots were taken back in July of 2012 while scouting for an upcoming archery hunt. We came to the end of the road, late in the afternoon and decided to make camp. It was cold and very windy, so we camped up against my truck, using it as a windbreak. We could literally see for miles and miles as we watched the sun slowly sink into the distance and then headed back to try to get some sleep. The wind was fierce, and we got pelted with rain sometime in the middle of the night.

I love being out in the middle of nowhere, on the top of the world!

Thanks and thanks. One of the worst things about it is, we will never know what caused it.

It's a small world. The clubhouse, restaurant and outbuildings are all a very nice design, fitting for the area.

I work for A-1 Steel, (Sparks Blacksmith & Welding back then. I was our estimator/Project Manager) we did the structural steel and were contracted with Shaver Construction on the Club House or the restaurant or both. I don't remember for sure now. We did some of the bridge brackets for the rails of the little bridge on Wingfield Springs Road right before Eagle Wing Circle, too. The photos were all taken at Eagle Wing Circle.

The start of a beautiful Spring day here in Northern Nevada. Our rental home backs up to a wetland, surrounded by Redhawk Golf Course. The ever changing views are our daily light at the end of the dark tunnel we now find ourselves in due to a fire at our own home on June 30, 2021. Our burned out home stands in dark contrast from the haven of this place, our temporary home. It is most certainly a blessing in disguise.

Lastly one of my favorite sunset shots from this awesome place; the place which, for now, we call home.

May 1st, 2022 - Our morning view

Western View - Lake Tahoe sits just over the snow covered Sierra on the left side of the screen.

Northwestern view...to the bottom and the right you can see hints of the path skirting the wetlands, running from one fairway to another. Our real home sits near the base of the mountain in the distance.

Full Monty of the first shot across the pond.

I was lucky to have captured three Canadian Honkers flying through my viewfinder, right before I ended my shoot.

[quote=UTMike]Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. Sorry, I post about this area so much I forget to define things. MBR is Migratory Bird Refuge, a federal facility adjacent to the Great Salt Lake.[/TT

Thanks...I searched and found it. We have a couple of Wildlife Refuges areas here in Northern Nevada, so I figured it had to be some type of Refuge!
