I am a born American citizen. My mother was Austrian, from near the Hungarian border, and my
father was a German from what is now Rommania, They got stuck in Rommania during the war, they
where trying to sell their lands and get Grandad out, we got out but Grandad could not, the wonderful
communists beat him up, tied him up and threw him into the wood shed, where he froze to death!!!
I speak German and I have been to Germany, and Austria, I served in the American Army in France in
Croix Chapeau - La Rochelle and in Verdun France, and went TDY to Germany a lot
I was not by Draculas' castle, but I lived in (TRIEBSWETTER) Tomnatic in Romanian, No fun with the commjunist regime, they stole our property and killed my Grandfather, the plight of theDonauschwaben is a sad one,
look it up. The first Generation had the need, The second Generation had the Death, and the Third Generation had the bread, which when the communists took over they took!!!!
AH! yes the Oberlrain, beautiful Music great people
I was raised in (Triebswetter) Tomnatic in Romania, I would opt for the 850, it has a better pixel range, and the better range is worth it.
A with a little more contrast on the bird body
Ran around Europe with one of these for the Army, but preferred my Linhoff for personal work
The 8 x 10 view camera is , or was the optimum for clarity, and grain and allways looked sharp. The Goerz lenses, especialy the Apo lenses where one of the finest in the world. The large and medium cameras,
allways gave better results, than the 35mm, if you took the same picture with a 35mm and a large format camera, and put the prints side by side, you would see that the large format is a 1000% better. I used my
own 4x5 Linhoff while in the Army in Europe, and I won several competitions..
CHECK WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, IF THESE ARE KIDS, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RELEASE THE PHOTOS FOR PUBLICATION WITHOUT CONSENT
Tou are lucky, had you been in France, someon would have offered to take your picture with your camera and then run away!!!!
