I appreciate everyone's help regarding my past inquiries. What is the best focal length for close up photos, flowers, small intricate things, animal facial expressions, etc. I have a Nikon D750. Any tips regarding type of lens, focal length and/or camera/lens settings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am going to be purchasing a 14-24mm 2.8 lens in the next few days. I noticed that Sigma and Nikon both make this lens. The only difference I've noticed thus far is that the Sigma sells for about $700 less. I am looking for quality not name. Can anyone help me. I am not familiar with Sigma lenses. The guys and gals at my local camera shops have provided me with some strong arguments for both lenses so it's just added to the confusion. There is a lot of knowledge on this site so I thought I'd reach out to ya'll.

Found one on Craigslist this summer in good condition. The ask was 75$ and I offered 65$. The 65$ was easily accepted with no apparent signs of sellers remorse. It had been well taken care of functionally. Good tripod, happy with it. It beats the hell out of the 200$ stick I purchased last year.

Just flew r/t from Denver to Austin, TX and had no problems or questions or camera bag searched, just put my camera bag on the scanner belt and picked it up on the other side. Flew r/t from Denver to SLC in July and r/t from Denver to LAX in April and didn't have any issues with carry-on camera bag and contents. Content was always the same, D750, a couple of lenses, memory cards, battery grip, batteries and charger, cleaning fluid and swabs, cleaning cloth and some other small misc. items.

How do you find the shutter count on a dslr that is used or refurbished, say on a nikon d750 or d810? Is there a similar method on the glass also?
