way different connection. I have 5 contact points on the hotshoe and 5 contact bump/pins on the flash
cant find anything near the hotshoe. tried resetting the flash thru the cameras, but it looks like the connection between the two is not working
canon T1I, lens canon 24-105mm, flash: canon speedlite 430exII
camera shooting full auto, flash on ttl but the Pop up still pops up and flashs.
checked the batteries in flash all good, test flash works
any help would be appreciated
Pop up flash tries to pop up all the time.
External flash will not shoot, (it does shoot in test) while trying the reset flash setup thru the camera I continued to get " this menu cannot be displayed. incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off"
I guess I will have to take to a repair shop, Any recommendations in south jersey
tried all the flash resets in the camera. dosent look like the camera is making a connection to the flash
cleaned both the hotshoe and the flash base. it did not help

the problem is the pop up flash is firing but the speedlite is not
I have a canon T1I Rebel and a canon speedlite 430EXII. Recently My camera dosen't seen to recognize that the speeedlite is on the hot shoe, because the pop-up flash tries to popup. Any ideas on how to deal with this
