With the help of UHH and my local camera club I'm submitting these photos to my local Fair so thought I'd share them here as well. They are from our recent trip to Alaska.

The mountain is Denali...the highest mountain in North America at over 20,000 ft.

Great pics - all of them! The shot of Denali is rare. Most of the time clouds cover much of the mountain. The only time I have seen the top of Denali was from an airplane - the top of the mountain was above the clouds.

Glad to hear that someone is getting something from Tamron. I've been back-ordered at Adorama on a Canon Mount 150-600 since March 15th. With a planned trip to Montana in mid-July, I'm quite concerned that it just won't make it in time. Anyone hearing of any Canon mount deliveries? I'm beginning to think I should just cancel and forget the whole thing.

I was back ordered on Feb 7 from Adorama for my Canon mount Tamron 150-600 and received it on June 13. I had an Alaska cruise during last week of May and had the same thoughts about canceling the order - but am glad I didn't.

Richard, I also had cancer surgery that did not get all the cancer - followed up with radiation treatments. Have been cancer free now for 18 years. I pray that your results from second surgery are successful !!

so I'm drinving into a shopping center and I see this sign...i hope its referring to the speed "bump"

I think these signs are installed by auto repair people because if you speed over these humps something is going to break!

You might consider a Canon 50mm 2.5 Macro. You can buy a used one for about $150. it is the sharpest Canon Lens you will use. You can copy postage stamps, and also shoot portraits with it. I have used it a lot for aerial photos. It is a lens that I always carry in my bag.

I am a photojournalist. My bag contains a 16-35 2.8L, 24-105 2.8L, 50mm macro, 70-200 2.8L, and when needed a super telephoto fixed focal length lens.

If I were you I would only buy lenses that you can later use on a Full Frame camera.

Put your money in your LENSES not camera BODIES. PHYSICS DOESNT CHANGE. Camera bodies become obsolete. Many of my lenses are more than 20 years old. And my old camera bodies are old and obsolete.

Using Canon, how compatible would this be with cam ranger

I use cam ranger with my 7D to iPad. It works very well when tethered. I recently got a wireless adapter for the 7D but haven't tried wireless with the Cam Ranger, but I'm certain it will work OK.

Great shots! #2 especially touches me - the bird shows perfect aerodynamic form and seems at peace in its soaring.

You surely show competence for BIF. My only opportunity so far was Bald Eagles in flight in Alaska - great opportunity, approx 50 exposures - not a single one sharply exposed. Will keep trying.

Thanks for posting your great shots.

Birds in flight, especially bald eagles, is one of my obsessions - but my success rate is far from satisfactory.

I like your design and look forward to availability.
Thanks,

Bald Eagles are one of my favorite targets. I have never had one as sharp as yours though. Great Job! You have wonderful shots to be very proud of!

This happens to me a lot. I recently walked out the back door at our farm house when I line of six red tail hawks soared directly over me. I did as a Native American tour guide on the Hopi reservation said: Take Indian pictures: Look, See, Remember.
