My buddy gave me my nick name a long time ago . I have owned 8 kubotas over the past 30 + yrs .

I use Photoshop CC now . I downloaded a copy and the first thing I did was use the Lasso tool to draw a ruff out line around the greenish color . Then I used the desaturate option , Then I used the eye dropper tool to select the light brown color to the right of the greenish color. I then selected the paint tool - color setting under Mode tab . I painted the area I desaturated . Then I used the Dodge tool too lighten the sun to match the area unaffected by the greenish color. I then used the burn tool to darken the lower area below the sun level . I then used the Polygonal lasso tool to draw rectangular box from the part of the tree on the left to the ground to fill back in with the clone tool that was lost when I colored the area that I desaturated . Hope this helps some

WOW. Thank you, not only for fixing but for explaining the process. I have so much to learn, but lots of time to do it. Thanks again.

if you would like the greenish color removed so you have a keeper , many of us can do it for you with good results . It's a simple thing to do . Just let us know , Tommy

I had to chuckle at your username; I just made the Kubota payment before I saw this message :-)

How would you remove it? I have Photoshop Elements. What would you use? And I would not mind if you did that. I would just like to know how to do it, too.
Thank you so much for the assist.

If you point your camera straight at a light source you are likely to get lens flare, which is what I think is showing in #2

Thanks for the info.

Ama, another point: are these images more over-exposed (lighter) than what you were envisioning?

These were tough lighting conditions, not only shooting directly into the sun at a low angle, but with darker subjects like the trees and shadows, your auto-ISO would have adjusted to make the whole scene lighter.

How do you like your shots that have the sun to your side, or behind you, or higher in the sky?

Thanks for the feed back.
I will have to see what it looks like setting ISO to auto.

As far as how I like my shots that have the sun in different positions, I am good with it. Once I take the image, I am my own worst critique. It just depends on what I was trying to capture.

Welcome to UHH, Ama. I have a Canon T3i and love it.

As Searcher says, your culprit is lens flare. Here is explanation:

Thank you so much for that link. A plethora of information. And I think I understand some of it, too :)
I do believe I am going to enjoy UHH!

Your photos aren't the same/ notice more snow in #2. It could throw your readings off when you include more snow. It looks like a white balance issue to me. I have the same camera and setup as you. But I drifted south to avoid the snow.

So, WB may be the issue? Good place to start. Will not be drifting south any time soon, so I need to get this right :-D Thank you so much for the suggestion.

I do not know enough, yet, to correct an issue I see. I am sure some of you will see many more. Any & all critiquing is welcome. The issue I see is the green haze or glare to the photo. I don't see it on the first one, but very clearly see it on the 2nd one.
I used a Canon Rebel T3, 18-55mm, P, RAW+L, ISO Auto with a Vivitar UV filter.

I have always had this issue with the PS I used, and this is one of the reasons I wanted to go with a better camera.

Again, thanks for the input. Any & all is appreciated.
I have only had the camera for 1 week. :)

Nice job and welcome to the Hog, Ama I lived on the lakeshore in Euclid many years ago so I know the snow belt well. You can learn a lot here reading the Q&A in the main discussion forums and if you have a specific question ask and you will get many answers. ;)

thank you.
We are east of Cleveland, almost to the PA stateline. I will start reading the Q & A, see if I can find some answers to questions that I have. Should be fun.
