I was 15 years old,living in German occupied France, being Jewish,life did not have much going for us as we were going to be exterminated by the Nazis, never understood why we were such enemy of of Germany.We had no political power, etc
We listened to shortwave radio from London,in French.
It was risky as we wre not allowed do so.
December 7 was a sad day for America,so many died in Hawaii. It was the best news for us because America and it industrial might when it goes to war will defeat the Germans.
If not for Pearl Harbor, chances are that the USA would have remained out of the war. I am alive and well at 88.

it is my belief that our governement can take care of our aging citizen ,sick and dying by holding back our huge defense spending,there was never a carrier they did not like.
We can do it if we believe in a fair distribution of our wealth, yes this is the richest country in the world.
Governement must defend us,educate us ,take care of our sick.and reduce our tendency to go to war each year.
We have no real enemies anymore.

I recently went on a cruise trough the Mediterranean.
In the island fo Rhodes, i visited a beautiful castle and while in innner courtyard, i mssed a small step and fell.
I scraped my knees and bled even though my pants were heavy denim. my Sony DSLR A 55 hit the coarse pavement.
But the brunt of the impact was on my plastic sunshade,it is scratched but my zoom lens is intact.
Good stuff. I will always have my shade on from now on.

There was a fuss made when we found that the uniforms are made in China. Someone said :lets make them in America, OK .
We do not weave cloth in the US anymore ,all the mills are out of business.
Where will we find the material to make uniforms in this country?
Any suggestions ?

My problem on my Danube river cruise was too much water!
the ship have to go beneath many bridges and when the river is high, they can't make it. They will anchor at the last stop before a low bridge and take you by a very comfortable bus to your next city. It bcomes a bus cruise not a river cruise. .The boats are great, food is unbeliveable.
We went on Avalon and they very nice. Enjoy,

Old minolta lenses "Rokkor" do not fit the Sony Alpha 55, but if you find a Minolta Maxxum lens,it will auto focus and will be fine on your Neww Alpha 55
AJrichard had the lowest price when I decided to place an order for a Sony a 55. I gave them my creditcard and waited for ever
I called many times,they were always out of stock. After about a month of runaround, i went to 42stphoto and got my camera in no time at a good price too
