OK. Put me on the list for two of them. If this "thing" falls through, those of us still interested can buy them on Amazon for about $8.

Wouldn't it fit be more appropriate if Hoggers had 'T' shirts made with their Avartar on the front or back??

Cost prohibitive ... you couldn''t do a run of 60, 600, or 60,000 T-shirts. You'd be doing individual T-shirts at a much higher cost per shirt.

If they can't see my tiny micro four thirds camera, they're not observant enough to call themselves photographers.

Amen. Observe my own tagline, please.

So are you saying to be a conservative you've had a history of being mugged? Now I understand why the majority of the conservatives are paranoid. LOL :XD:

Of course I'm paranoid. Every time I've left this country people have actively tried to kill me. And quite a few people in America have publicly declaimed that they'd like to kill me and "my kind." There's nothing abnormal about being paranoid. As Joseph Heller said in Catch 22, just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to kill me.

I remember a quote that goes something like this...."don't pick a fight with an old man....he won't fight....he'll just shoot you in the head"!

I like it. I guess, at 61, some would consider me an old man.

I'm 65, licensed to carry, and I DO carry every time I leave my (secure) apartment building. I carry a Glock .45 and 51 rounds of ammo. (Can you tell I'm a combat veteran?).

I DON'T pity the scumbag who takes me for a harmless old man!

I have their dual harness and carry two cameras many times without problem

Amen! I almost always carry two cameras, and do so using the OpTechUSA dual harness. It works great!

I recommend just Lightroom to start learning. Once Don reaches the point where he needs layers, he can add Photoshop or Elements. If you try to learn both at the same time, it will take forever.

It would be fun to chime in and let us know what camera you use.

This is not a thread for arguing about what is better or throwing stones! not what lens you use, just what Brand camera you use....{you don't even have to say what model camera it is, unless you want to}

2 Nikon's for me
1 Olympus P&S

Panasonic micro-four-thirds. See my sig-line.

Hi everyone,

What about you?

:D

As noted in my sig-line, my two cameras, six lenses, and bag come -- altogether! -- to less than six pounds. But usually I leave four lenses and the bag in the car, and carry two cameras with lenses, using a dual-camera strap. Which two lenses varies according to what I'm experimenting with. This week it's the Summilux 25mm (dangling by my right hand) and the Panasonic 45mm macro lens (dangling by my left hand). Next week, who knows?

I have a Panasonic Lumix GX1 camera. I recently wanted to date-stamp some photos to document behavior. When I tried to set a date-stamp on my test photo I got an error message "Cannot Be Set on This Picture." That's not a particularly enlightening message.

Can anyone here tell me what conditions must be met to set a text stamp with this camera. The user's manual tells me how to set one, but doesn't give any parameters for why it doesn't work on some photos. Thanks.

I am looking to buy a cheap, used third party (probably) 400 or 500mm lens. By cheap I mean $100 or less, pref $50 or less. There are a bewildering number of them out there, with names I am not familiar with. Among others Asunama, Tele-astranar, Rokunar, Spiratone, Tamron, Quantaray, Kolimar, Soligar etc etc. Please don't tell me to forget it and buy your favorite $10,000 lens. Are any of these preferable to others? Are some to be avoided at any cost? Mirror vs. Refractor ? Whatever feedback you want to give me. Thanks

You might investigate picking up an FD lens (Canon) or the equivalent Nikon lens. Something that'll be cheap because it wasn't designed for Digital Cameras. Then look at getting a conversion kit so you can use that old, "out of date" lens on your digital camera.

Hi, Ol,

See my own comment earlier in this discussion about using Alien Skin Software's Blowup program to make oversize prints from M4/3 cameras.
