I'm a Canon user and have read many laudatory responses as to the value of the 5D Mark IV. Yet it seems somewhat curious why there are so many of them for sale (and with low shutter counts). Any opinions, or inside knowledge why owners of this particular model are so quick to part with such an acclaimed performer?

I have used the Canon 7D for 10 years and just received a 5D M4 and getting used to it. It is a wonderful photographic computer and noticing improvements in color, exposure, etc. I enjoy learning with this camera and trying the Flash workings. Am using the manual side with the Av and Tv also the Auto feature. My only regret was not noticing the AF-s lens will not fit and now seeking a replacement in the 24-105 range. I also considered the new Mirror-less but the 5d will be the last camera I buy. I also think that many folks want a simple camera to work with and like the latest technology, hence the newest cameras. Enjoy the camera and have fun with it, no regrets.

I have tried to find out how to get photos transmitted from my wife’s Android phone into my iPhone?

The only hidden method found is for her to attach photo files to an email to me. That is impractical due to e-mail rules of allowing less that two attached files or the attempt will not be capable to send!?

An suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

Do you have a PC at home? If so, use the phone cord to plug into the USB port. The PC should find the connection as a "drive". Open "My PC" and locate the phones drive. Click to open, a folder DCIM should be there, open it and all the camera photos should be there, there also may be other folders to review. Create a "new folder" on the desktop, thence either drag and drop photos into the new folder or highlight and save to the new folder. Once in the new folder on your PC, you can edit them as you wish and select photos to email. This process works with Androids, Iphones and cameras. Good luck!

Try limiting your focus range, I believe you can set your zoom to a more narrow choice, I believe there is a two way switch on your lens, one if for full, and the other is a limiter, try using the limiter, it should help improve your focusing speed.

I have a Canon 7D with a 15-55 Canon lens, it went crazy on focus during a Christening. Had to use manual focus to finish the day. After ruling out the camera body, I found Canon repair center in NJ with a 4 day turn a round. Upon return, the lens has never been better, all my previous focusing issues were resolved. They have a fixed price for the overhaul, a nice service.

I have a bunch of Floppy Disks from Mystic Photo, now out of business and searching for a way to open the .PIC photos and convert to JPEG's.
Any one have experience with this? Thank you?

Hi, I too have a 7D and would like to ask you if you had any focusing issues since new? I use a Sigma 18-200 lens
and only occasionally get tack sharp photos.

I have done a suggested test, yesterday, by focusing manually on a flat object then turning on the AF and pushing the trigger halfway and watching the focus ring.
It should not more if all is well.
Wrong, The AF did change my manual setting.
This was on tripod with a remote control.

Any thoughts from your end? This is a great camera otherwise, glad to have it.
Thank you,
Matt Martin

Hi, I too have a 7D and would like you opinion on the focusing quality of the camera/lens. I use a Sigma 18-200 for most photos but am not happy with obtaining sharp photos. I try every variation of their focusing systems.
Just not tack sharp.
Thanks for any thoughts,
Matt Martin

Fujitsu make a compact "Scan-Snap" desk unit that is fast and saves to your files. I have this for several years and scans 8 x 10 to 3 x 5 easily.

I have the same camera and Sigma lens for 4 years. Wonderful camera but the 18-200 lens for me has two issues. I don't seem to get really sharp photos and the zoom section keeps sliding out when you bend over.
Must use lock all the time.
Sent an Email to Sigma this week only to get a silly reply but send the lens to the shop. I am a user of Sigma lens and have good quality otherwise.
Never tried a Tamron lens so far.
