I'll be honest, I've made a mess of my Lightroom catalogs and try as I might I'm still confused about importing photos to the catalog.
Does anyone here have the ability to screen share with me? Do you also have the Lightroom skills to help me? I'm more than willing to pay a reasonable price for your time if you can help. Please PM me if you are able to help. Thanks...

Hello Hogs,
I get e-mail every few days from Picture Correct. It has been so long I forget whether or not I signed up or it or if it's junk mail, but either way I don't mind as they have interesting articles once in a while. Today's e-mail, "New Deal: Over 1000 Stunning Presets for 1-Click Photo Editing." Normally $560 and usually on sale for $99 but today with the code you can get it for $49. For all you "in the know" Hogs is this a phenomenal deal or is this just another Veg-o-matic? I have yet to use a preset, I actually enjoy tinkering with each photo and the way I personally analyze everything I do I figure it will take me about 41.5 days to check out each of the 1000 presets. But more important here is my main concern with the miracle presets. Let's say I take 100 photos from 6pm to 7pm, the light is completely different at 7 than it was at 6. So I am in Lightroom with the first photo (6pm) and I find a preset that I like and do my 1-click thing, perfect. So now I 1-click the whole 100? No matter the lighting they are all going to look as good as photo #1? Because if the answer is no then what is the point of all this, I might as well do it my way, one at a time. Thanks all....Marty
Hello Hogs, br I get e-mail every few days from P... (show quote)

When I was new to digital photography and post processing I was overwhelmed with all the "presets" out there and thought I had to have them to do good pp. So I have purchased perhaps 2500 over time and doubt that I have used 50 of them. I have wasted several 100's of dollars on them and now realize I could make my own with a bit of effort on my part. Recommend you do the same.

The CC installation is corrupted. The usual course of action is to completely uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud Application. Once uninstalled one typically has to use the following steps to remove remnants of the CC cloud installation using these steps:
1. Click on Finder then Click on Go and Go to folder
2. Type /Library and click on Go
3. Go to Application Support and Adobe and then delete OOBE folder.
4. Redo Step 1
5. Type ~/Library and click on Go
6. Go to Application Support and Adobe and then delete OOBE folder.
7. Go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud?promoid=KLYVF
Download Adobe Creative cloud, Install it.

I did not list these steps earlier because Adobe tech support usually knows enough to do this when they access your desktop remotely. So, you have a choice: either attempt this yourself or wait for Adobe tech support to do it remotely for you.

I had three different techs attempting to do just this with zero results. Now they have me waiting for them to "fix" whatever bug is in the program. I was hoping someone else had the same problem so I wouldn't feel so alone out here... :? :?  :-( :-(

The CC window doesn't say open or closed. When I click on the actually CC2015 app it says there is a problem with the app and it doesn't open this type of file/???

I see both apps, and even 2014CC telling me there are upgrades available. At the moment I have 2014 running until 2015 is repaired...

Is this the same thing as having one of the techs take over my screen and look for the problem? I've done this 3 times with no results other than they would refer to a higher power and get back to me...

Two weeks ago I attempted to go into my PS CC 2015 and it would not open. I made several attempts with no luck so I called Adobe. After two hours of the techie attempting to get it up and running he admitted defeat and said he would have to go to a super techie and they would call me back. A week later I still hadn't gotten a call back. I called support again and spent another two hours on line with negative results. This time I was told this was a universal problem that some users were having (Mac's) and they would get back to me when the bugs were worked out. Another week plus has passed with no solution. Are any of you other MAC users having the problem?

What a wonderful shot, Regis. Not your traditional eagle pose. Was this a nest?

Dennis: I hope you realize how fortunate you are to live in such an incredibly beautiful state! Endless photo ops right out your back door. Leaving there for Oklahoma was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I miss it so much...
And you have some great shots here as well.

IMHO the decision should be made based on the perceived market for the product. I would check with several friends and ask if they would be interested in that type of photograph. Be sure to show examples of your work. Then if you get a favorable response from friends do some small ads in your local community paper and see if you get a response. That's the only way you will know if the idea will fly. That said, I doubt you'll make a lot of money from the venture.
