Here are more vulture photos taken at Monroe lake, Indiana. This group of the photos are about poses of the vultures. Are these vultures beautiful? Ugly?
looks as if it had reached adult plumage/size, so it must be relatively recent. If it non-infectious it may be replaced by scar tissue. Since the brd is feeding and looks healthy otherwise, it may not be life threatening.
I have the FZ50 and love it. I travel extensively, use it for nature photography, and ocassionally use it for close-up work. The lens is as sharp as any I've ever seen. It is easy to carry and very responsive to all possible situtations. I regurarly make 15x20'' prints (both paper and canvas) that do well in juried shows.
I have thoroughly enjoyed a Lumix DMC-FZ50. It does just about everything I want, is easily handled and carried, unobtrousive, and very smart. It's most outstanding feature is the leica Elmart lens. If I were to update I would certainly consider the FZ-150
