This dragonfly has "butterfly" back wings. It looked very heavy when I saw it flying and I had to follow it.

They are not so fresh anymore, the birds sit above them, and I don't have an indoor cage , so :P

I live in the Panhandle of Florida, and we have a tropical storm coming. The rain, wind and wasps are a challenge.

My female Hummingbirds guard their feeders, and have such an attitude. The male kept trying to get some food, and he just kept his tongue out in case he could get close enough.

The bottom picture looks like he is well fed. I like pelicans also, here are a couple of my shots. Have to show you the one in the sky- even though it was at a great distance- wish I would have taken it in RAW so I could have enlarged it. The wings were in perfect union. The "twins" were nice too, but there was trash in between them. Think I need to figure out how to use a photo editing program. Well maybe after I figure out the photography :-)

Weeds are just unloved flowers. But when they are this beautiful - I LOVE THEM.

Nice- I never know the names of the insects or butterflies. or flowers for that matter. But I do enjoy the beauty. I like the orchid picture - it is so beautiful. Are you using a macro setting/lens?
