Scary and amazing pictures as always, great job :-)
Thanks again all.
It took me a while to realize that the white "bugs" in the first picture were the molt from the aphids. Also seeing the aphids inside the bloom made it seem like they were endless :-) The second picture highlights the individual insects better though :-) I never had to do anything about these (for the plant I mean), I went and check my hibiscus again yesterday (these pictures were from a few months ago), and I couldn't find any aphids.
Some aphids on a hibiscus plant in my yard.

I have shot them, they are cool looking, I'll post em.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing :-)
Have you seen the eggs? I caught a picture of some (what I think are) antlion (lacewing order) eggs last summer, but they are pretty neat :-)
Check the undersides of leaves:

A female will usually lay only one egg per stem of leaves.
My little butterfly garden gets WAY more than that. I don't know if that is because it is the only milkweed in the area, or if there are multiple sets of eggs laid by different females. I had read that same 1 per leaf thing before, but I usually get at least 2 per leaf (not stem) when they lay eggs.
I'd also heard that after a few rounds of the caterpillars eating the milkweed down to almost nothing, the plant increases the poison to the point where the caterpillars can't eat it anymore. I had about 4 "prunings" this year and I haven't had another set for a month or so now so I wonder if that is the problem. I also see ants on the my plants so I'm not sure if the ants harvest the eggs before they can hatch and start eating the milkweed poison?
Anyway, nice pictures! I have about 10 seed pods ready to open right now, I'll have to get some pictures too :-)
I love the pose and composition of number one, need to have it in that place and with that pose but from an angle where you can see the front eyes :-)
Awesome pictures! Better than anything I have taken :-) Where in south Florida did you find these guys?
In the second image, it looks like you made this with focus stacking? (the left side of the face seems to have an odd bit out of focus?) Also, seems to have more chromatic aberration on the second image compared with the first. Did you use different post-processing? Thanks for any information :-)
