Too smile or not to smile

That is the question

Using one of these for my Advertising, your input would be helpful

Thanks

I like the smile, though if you are advertising your business, why not have the camera in profile, to avoid confusion? My first thought was, he's advertising Canon! Just a thought!

In view of all the kind comments, remarks and private messages I have received concerning my leaving the Hog, I have reconsidered and will be staying for a while longer.

Thank you to everyone who responded with kind words, remarks and encouragement, you all know who you are and I thank you very much.

About the title: Barns by harclod, should, or shouldn't I try changing the titles each time I post, or should I leave it as it has been, making it easy for everyone who likes to view my barns? Anyone who wishes to respond, I welcome your thoughts on this matter.
Thanks again, Richard. And here's your next barn.

This is the flower of a Banksia tree. Not sure but maybe a native to Aust. Don't recall its botanic name but named after Sir Joseph Banks, a botanist with the first fleet to Aust's of Boat People.
They're just starting to come out & there's quite a few variations.
Didn't have camera on my walk so picked it & brought it home to show you.
Sure, I was vocal about 'Too many Flowers' post recently & I agree, but these are unusual looking flowers. The only type I'll post. I guess some one will come up with the Bot name.
Hope you like 'em.

Ge'Day Bunko,
Thanks for the reminder, of the beauty and exclusivity of the flora in Auz!
Here is a link to all the information you might possibly need or want about the Banksia,

Just for fun - the photo has not particular merit - but since I sent my son's photo, and mentioned my daughter, who also did a tour in Afghanistan (Cmdr. USN).

There is little more meritorious than "Serving ones Country" thanks for posting and for your children.
Please tell them thanks from one great-full Citizen

Canandaigua Lake NY at the south end.

Hi Foxier, beautiful shot.
Looks almost warm, how wonderful that with the good light we can create such feelings. All I see of Canandaigua Lake these days is by the north end, it's frozen now!
Do you live around here?

I took these last week about 70 miles upstream from the river mouth. Not far past here, the river comes down from the mountain range, with plenty of white water & a beautiful valley. I plan on camping up in the hills for a couple of days before the weather gets cold. I haven't camped there before but it is supposed to be a photographer's paradise.

Love the tinny, Earl, is it yours? Have fun rolling around with the dirt and the bugs!!

I have a mess of odd ball pics that don't make up sets. Here are 3 from different towns on different dates.

#1 Newcastle Lighthouse--Xmas eve & light rain.

#2 House just outside of Maclean. Also light rain.

#3 Yamba at dusk.

(Edit)...I have been waiting in vain for the pics to upload. I am now trying to send them one at a time. I keep getting 'Page cannot be displayed'. Sorry about this.

Great shot of the Lighthouse, love it!
Never mind where to park, where's the driveway?!

My area has many horse studs & the foal drop has been big this year, with late foals still arriving. Here are some more from yesterday. I have more horse pics, but am wary of 'over posting'. If my horse posts are too frequent, please let me know. For those who have been following my previous posts, Peggy has not foaled yet & is still playing Nanny to the other foals.

Please don't stop posting, they keep reminding me that spring always comes around, and sub zero temps will be a thing of the he past for a while!
Great shots Earl!

I watched this little guy for ages, he kept catching yabbies, snipping their claws off and eating them...
Then he sat on the rock, dried himself out and had a rest...

Beaut shots, hope you brought some yabbies home for dinner!
