I think Maui will be my final destination. We explored the possibility and. Started from the expense point. We actually found the expense was not so bad if you didn't insist on living on the Beach side of the road.

I'm sorry, I accidentally double posted and am just removing my mistake, so I'll take this opportunity to post a picture of a piece that had to be reconstructed from some existing pieces. Comments welcome.

I do not have a site because I work for dealers nationwide. I do custom work at times for people I feel comfortable with. I am fortunate that I am retired and do this just to please me.

I see you are from Jacksonville, I was born and raised there left in 65. I have been fortunate to live in many places and enjoyed many places with photo ops everywhere. Great way to live!

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks Rich, sorry to mislead you but the picture is just an example of the types of items I handle in my Laser work.
I would probably not post anything I've shot recently as most is candid or demonstrative of the work I do. Not really that interesting..But thanks for the critique.

Hi Karen !
I too am new to this forum but have been watching before joining. From what I've seen I think it is great.
I reply to you because I saw your interest in Vintage Jewelry and that happens to be my main interest. In my business I deal mainly with Estate dealers that have jewelry that needs repair or restoration. I use a Laser exclusively for this work and you can see an example of a restoration on my avatar.
That piece was commissioned in 1903 by the Czarista of Russia as a gift to the Czar as a personal gift. When it came to me the top was partially destroyed and I was able to bring it back. It is a clock and is 6" in height with the lid closed.
I really understand the attraction of old period pieces and people that also have that interest. Any time I can help you, please contact me.

Hello John! Thanks for the welcome.
Unfortunately that avatar came from the great beyond, in other words, it just appeared when I submitted my intro.

Hi all! Been observing this site for a couple of weeks before commenting. From all observations, it appears I will certainly enjoy the people and topic diversity.
My name is Stan and I live in Acworth,Ga. I currently have a small cool pix and a Lieca luv 1.
Lived in Santa Fe, NM for a number of years and was able to use so very much film in 35mm and 120.... Absolutely spoiled with photo opportunities. There are no bad or poor subjects in that area.
I, like some others here am just starting to enjoy digital photography and the equipment I need is as follows:
Digital camera- probably Nikon, just because I'm more familiar with the setups
Editing software -MAC

My passion outside of photography is Antique Jewelry, I have a 150 joule Laser welder for jewelry repair that I use for every type of metal repair from Gold to Titanium.
Thanks for reading my intro and look forward to the board.
Stan
