Great shot. Sharp subject, nicely blurred background. It would be hard to do much better!

Nice set. Welcome to UHH! Let us see more of these. We were there about 14 years ago, just after a major fire had burned a lot of the trees in and near the park. Yosemite falls were DRY at that time.

There is a meat store on 7th Ave in Hendersonville near the old railroad station that sells Beefalo. If you get over this way give it a try. We generally buy most of our meats from there.

Also there is a restaurant in Ypsilanti on the main drag that sells Beefalo burgers. When we lived in Ann Arbor, we used to go there often. Again, sorry, it has been so long I don't remember the name.
It was about one grade up from a fast food place.

Nice portrait and artistic treatment.
Someone years back crossed Buffalo with beef cattle. Not being a farmer, I don't know which breed. Anyway the result is called a Beefalo and the meat is good tasting and quite lean. It makes good burgers too.

There is a free software package called FastStone Image Viewer. It is very much more than that. It is a first rate image editor usable for post processing most images. There is a free manual downloadable as a PDF file too.

I'm sure there are others available and other UHHers will tell you about them.

These are all very nice. I have to give some credit to the photographer's eye though. Tell us about your new camera/lens combo :-)

Nice shot. Crop the bottom about midway through the board after straightening the image. Also crop a little off the right side and you will have gotten rid of things that don't add to the picture. Just an opinion of course.

Thanks Pianist and Linda. My wife volunteered to hold a piece of black mounting board for the background. I had to extend the black background on the left with Photoshop to get a reasonably nicely placed image in the 11 by 14 format.

I thought I would post these taken this morning and printed 11 by 14 this afternoon. A plain background makes a big difference!

Rhododendron are cousins of Azaleas. The blossoms look just like clusters of Azalea blossoms. Generally by the time the last blossom in the cluster opens, the first are turning brown around the edges. Had to look hard at a whole bush to find these.

These taken with Canon T3i and Sigma 50mm F/2.8 Macro lens. I think this lens is MUCH sharper than my extended zoom Sigma 28-200!

Both shots suffer from camera motion, the first more than the second. 1/2 second exposure was the problem. Set the ISO up to 800 or more. Shutter speed with a 300mm lens needs to be up around 1/300 second without image stabilization or perhaps about 1/60 with image stabilization.

4K video has resolution of 3840 by 2160 pixels, about 8 megapixels.

Hd has two possible resolutions 1280 by 720 for 720p, or 1920 by 1080 for "full HD".

4K resolution can be achieved by a camera with a much smaller sensor than full frame. For example, the SX-50 Canon has resolution of 4000 by 3000 even though the sensor is about the size of a regular 8 mm film frame.

Though this particular camera has the necessary resolution it doesn't shoot 4K video.

The point is that 4K video is considerably lower resolution than many DSLR cameras of today. The more pertinent question is whether a given camera has the ability to shoot 4K video.

Metalic blue and green! Yes, the right lighting brings out the beautiful color and texture. Good job.
