I still have them in my trash but im trying to figure out how it works. I want the images off my hard drive to free up space and keep them on my book.
Thanks...ill try that. Regarding the last comment...does that mean i have to re-import the pictures from My Book when i want to view them if i have deleted them from Iphoto?
Well, I'm back with more questions...I have installed My Book on my Mac and went into the finder. I clicked on Pictures under my files and dragged the folder that says Iphoto Library to the My Book icon. It took a few hours to finish copy. Later on I went into Iphoto and started deleting photos that I no longer want to keep on my hard drive since I have copied them to the My Book drive. When I went back to look at the photos in My Book that had been removed from there as well? They were there after i copied the files but not after I deleted them from Iphoto. Phu this got wordy but I am not sure how this all works. I am trying to free up space on my hard disc and put my photos on My Book instead?

No Jerry, I immigrated to Florida from Sweden 1996 and had lived here ever since. I go back home every year as all my family is still there and I miss it :)

Hello and thanks in advance for any help. I bought the My Book external hard drive for my Imac. I am technically challanged and can't seem to figure out how to transfer my images to My book (despite searching the internet). I don't want to copy the images, i want to transfer them and get them off my Imac to free up space? Im sure there is an easy solution to this but i am feeling a little overwhelmed :(

Ohh my, just photographed my first wedding and came home to load my 600+ RAW images on my IMac when i got the dreaded message, your hard drive is full and i cant load my images. I need to venture into the land of external hard drive which I know nothing of. I was wondering how "you" guys handle your quantity of images and their storage? Thank you all...i have a 430 EX II speedlight which i would like to use off camera and i did like the idea of a small softbox over the speedlight. I am trying to figure out if a hot shoe canon cable would work best for me. My pop up flash is broken (i have attempted to clean the sprint but I think it is stuck for good) to use that as a trigger but im leaning to the cable? English is my second language...i know what i want to do but having a hard time communicating it :)
Im sure it has been discussed before on this forum but i will ask again. Im looking to buy a base light setup with backlight, highlight and main source with stands. I will be taking shots of people in a hospital room with windows. It will be a book with black and white images including babies. I dont have a helper so it needs to be managable for one person...im also looking for a case with wheels for my camera and lenses. Any ideas are appreciated.
