The guy in India is wrong. That use to be the case but it was done away with. I had an Educational CS5 and upgrades to CS6 with no problem. I ordered online from Adobe.

I disagree with the above analysis. You have a particular subject and it is in perfect focus. If the other two flags were in focus then it would have taken away from the main theme of that flag. I like selective coloring especially when done well as this picture shows. The only thing I would have done differently is to move in closer and try to get rid of the tree in the background. Good job and well done. Keep shooting.

AntieM, thanks for your comments. The framing is outlined to fit 2 inch size mats that I have. I am using 11x14, 16x20, and 18x24 mats. I made the inside of each outline a smart object and thereby able to fit the picture inside the outline without having it being cropped. I use ctrl-T and fit the picture anywhere and any size of my choosing inside the outline. It is a great way to do images.

AuntieM, they bloom only during this time of year but are definitely beautiful at the Saguaro National Park. Here is another one you will enjoy.

I really did not know what that last bird was, so thanks for letting me know. That was the only woodpecker I saw but there were plenty of doves. Here are two more.

Wigoode, I too wake up to the doves. I feed them in my backyard and hear them every morning. What a wonderful sound.

Carolina. Thanks for your kind comments. I spent about two hours taking pictures of the Saguaro Cactus flowers and the birds were always there. Here are two more of those photos. Again, enjoy.

I wanted to post a few flowers from the Senoran Desert here in Tucson. The first is a Hedgehog cactus flower. It is a beautiful flower but being red, is somewhat hard to photograph. I had to use backlight and then replace the white background. The red was then reduced in intensity. The second is of a Saguaro Cactus flower. I was very lucky for the White Winged doves seemed to follow me around that day. I also used a different background to bring out the beauty of the flower and birds. Hope you enjoy.
