Thanks for all the input everybody. I'll certainly give the next poster shoot extra consideration in the area of graphics.
Thanks for the good suggestion. Any input on what colors might make it stand out better?
Always done on location......
One more point on the trademark issue. These photo's were for the private use of my friends and not sold for commercial distribution.
Thanks to all for your input. You are quite right about the color red "bleeding" on the monitor. These pics were made into 27" x 40" posters on MDF board and then laminated. When seen in real life the print has tack sharp clarity. As far as any trademark problems, I researched this at length. First of all, it is not the actual company logo and second, trademark issues only come up when you imply
"association" with the company. There is none of that present.
Again, thanks to all!
Here's a pic from my "Old West' genre. I enjoy putting folks in their own movie poster or product ads.
Here's another.......
Thank you.....looking forward to exploring here.
Colorado gets many tourists from all over the state and world. But the ski resorts probably carry the state for overall numbers. There are also many gun shows and a few Old West shows/auctions. We also get a great turnout every year for the National Western Stock Show.
But the history of the state is not well taught in the schools and many of the old timers are dying off. Many of the ranches that have been in families for generations are being sold off as a result.
The purpose of my photo business is to revive interest in the West and make sure our heritage and Western spirit survive.
Denver has such a great history from the "Old West" days but does not capitalize on it. We have William F. Cody aka Buffalo Bill buried right in our backyard on Lookout Mountain!
The world we live in today is so far removed from that time. Wish we could get some of those "frontier" values back! I think we'd all be better off.
