I checked my Sibley's and I agree that it looks like an immature Wood Stork. I wonder if your WB might be slightly off.

To me it looks like an immature broad-winged hawk. Nice picture.

I shot a lot of 120 film on Kodak Brownie camerss as a kid. My first SLR was a Konica Autoreflex T bought in Viet Nam 1971. Used it for almost 25 years, then inherited a Minolta from father-in-law and used it for a few years. Finally I got a Sony A100 and used it until I got my Sony A77, which is my present camera of choice.

Long time Konica, Minolta, Sony user. Presently using A100 and A77. Both are excellent cameras. A77 is the best I have ever had. Never had any maintenance problems.

Mickey, how do you like the A77? And what's up with that hat in your avatar?

I love the A77. It is by far the best camera I have ever owned. I started with Kodak Brownie in the early 1950's. Have also used Konica, Minolta, Kodak, and Canon. The hat is a hand made Panama by a friend in Bisbee, AZ. It is my favorite. Hats of all kinds are very popular in Arizona.

Alaskan, The tight framing is due to my trying to fill the frame "in camera". The problem with the nose is that I believe the camera moved slightly when I pressed the shutter release (handheld).

Meives, I wanted folks to check the EXIF data so they could make their own determination on how good the SX50HS is. I love it!

Photo 74, They are trying to interrupt the parade. However, they say the stats on their success are classified. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, B Mac, I agree. I think the camera moved a little (remember, hand held) as I released the shutter. I really just wanted to see what I could accomplish with the SX50HS. I am very pleased how it turned out. On another day with the correct weather, I will use my tripod and the remote shutter release.

Thanks, Bob 71. Printed one 8 x 10 and sent to the local newspaper to see what they think. We have a section called "Out and About" where local photographs of note are printed once a week. I'm hoping mine is one those picked.
