I just received the new Kodak AZ631 this afternoon and wanted to post some very quick and initial first impressions. I am a Kodak fan too and have always liked the Kodak colors, despite what all the professionals think.

I hate having to charge the battery in camera but that's the way it comes. I wonder if my old Kodak all in one charger would work. Have not tried yet...My first concern was performance in general. How fast is it moving in the menus? How fast is the shutter response? I have no issues with the performance so far.

I took a few indoor pictures in auto mode without flash. Pretty noisy at 800 ISO (not surprising to me considering the sensor size)...Move over to P mode and the pictures are definitely better and not quite as noisy. This has been the case with many Kodaks. Need to get out of auto mode for the best pictures!

I am thrilled with the outdoor pictures. Kodaks always seem to give great images of the sky outdoors. Took a full 36X zoom handheld outside and the result was very impressive. No blur at all...
