Congrats on your wedding. I wish I were in your area, as I would have applied for the free job. I have done a lot of so called free photo assignments and have enjoyed everyone of them, and quite honestly, many have turned into money in the retirement account. I think the first one was a boys baseball team back in the early 60's and my son was a player on the team. The photographer that had been doing the teams raised his price for a 5x7 and two billfolds to something like 6.95, and additional prints went way up from that. While talking at supper one night, I mentioned that the price was outlandish, and if I had the time I would do it for nothing, just for the advertisement. ( I had a small photo studio that I ran partime from my regular job.) Guess what, my young son went to practice the next day and announced I was doing the pictures for free and would provide a 5x7 plus 4 billfolds. The cost of the pictures to me was the price of film, and the processor charged me a dollar fifty and I had to take 23 pictures of the team and the coaches and umpires. Long story short, after 6 months of reorders for grandparents, relatives etc. I made a lot more than I even expected and really grew the data base of customers. That started several years of free pics for the ball team. A little bit of free photos goes a long way toward a happy healthy wealthy retirement, and I have been retired for more that a few years.

Have any of you folks had experience driving / owning three wheeled TRIKES [ motorcycles with three wheels ] ?

I have a lot of experience with Harley Davidson Trikes. I first operated a Servi-Car, HD 45cu in, 3 wheel doing traffic control and regular police patrol, for 3 years in the early 70's.
I have since purchased a 2013 TriGlide, Harley Davidson made in York, PA, and then traded for a 2014 TriGlide.

I have also owned Harley Davidson cycles since the early 50's and have logged lots of miles on a Harley.

The trike is easier to ride, more stable on the road than a 2 wheeler as you can brake through a turn, even a panic stop without going everywhere but where you want to be, no need to worry about tipping over in slow traffic, or when you have a passenger, they don't contribute to trying to stabilize the cycle. The 103 cu inch Tri Glide will more than keep up with the two wheeler, and even outrun some of the older 96 cu inch ones. I have followed the sites on trikes and most of the dangers are common to all motorcycles, too fast for conditions, rain and wind causing vision problems, etc. Alcohol also is a problem with any vehicle, not just motorcycles.

The wide front cycles have their share of problems also, especially if the front wheel goes off of the road, leaving the other two on the highway and when trying to return to the highway without reducing speed, the cycle has a tendency to over correct and spin. I don't have any personal experience with this type of cycle, just what I have read and heard from other riders.

By the way, I'm in my late 70's and ride the trike just about every day, sometimes even when it's raining cats and dogs outside. My wife even goes along once in a while.

You could look for a Nikon D70 with a lens that should be in the 200 range. This camera will give you a learning curve, and yet be able to give decent pictures set on the automatic settings. It is only 6 megapixels, but don't let that be too big a negative. You can get nice results with the D70 and also 11 x 14 prints without any problem.

I read this off to my wife and she came back with,
"If you run out of ammo with a gun, you can always reload and go again."

I still think it is racist for some fat, old, white, rich, republican to ride down the road, sitting and farting on an Indian! I'm calling my elected officials!

I don't know what to think about this threat, I'm the fat, old, rich, retired photographer, democrat, thinking of trading the HD for an Indian, and someone is going to call the elected official, (President Obama) on me for helping out the populace with a new motorcycle made in the USA. Have to kind of wonder what motivates some people.

Does anyone know the difference between the GoPro Black+ and the Silver+ other than $100 difference in the price. The descriptions seem to be the same.

I confused. You say it's the three year olds, however, look at all those hands in there trying to open the same present. I would market it to each one telling them it is their birthday. Just don't do it on the same day.

The Best Popcorn:

Start with Popcorn grown in either Iowa or Indiana
Use a Popcorn pan with the mixing handle on top
Add about a half cup of Peanut Oil
Add a cup of raw popcorn (makes a lot of popcorn quickly)
Add a teaspoon of Sea Salt

Have a large container ready to dump the cooked popcorn into, (an older large turkey roasting pan with lid works well to distribute the hot butter and salt as you shake it.)

Heat fairly hot, but not so to burn or smoke the oil
When the popping starts, get ready, when the pan is full of popped corn, dump quickly and carefully only athe cooked popcorn and return the pan to the heat to continue popping and then dump again when full and return to heat. This continues for about 4 dumps.
At the end, pour some cooking oil into the pan to cool it so that it doesn't get scorched.

DON'T LET YOUR WIFE or KIDS WATCH, SOME POPCORN PROBABLY WILL END UP ON THE FLOOR, NOT MUCH, BUT SOME.

Add melted real salted butter, plus more sea salt to taste and you are ready for a large crowd to "Snack Down."

You shouldn't do that to old people, especially when they haven't had lunch yet. Too much and too hard laughing could get to you.

Thanks for that one. Now if I can remember how the printer works, I'll pass this one on to all the old people like me here in AZ.

Happy New Year to All.
