I teach various photo classes at a local CC, Intro to digital, Photoshop, Lightroom, advanced classes in color and black and white; our department offers an online version of our on campus Introductio to Digital Photography class. It covers basic exposure, studio lighting, basic editing using Lightroom among other topics. At the end of the 16 week semester, the student presents a portfolio of 8 images; portrait, landscape, still life, motion, and 4 student choices. I occasionally get to do,the critique sitting in front of my computer.
The class is done through Blackboard. You might see if your local CC has something similar. My personal preference is take a class in person; nothing beats having a knowledgeable instructor help you with any confusing issues, but the on you are considering would be the next best thing.
Good luck!

Angle of incidence equals angle of reflectance. Google YouTube. Bouncing the flash avoids the dreaded on-camera flash look( harsh, no contrast lighting). I turn the head to place the light from the direction I want it to come from. At events, wedding receptions, etc., I usually want the light to be soft and even; ceilings usually provide this. If outdoors, I am looking for the barest of fill and turning the flash head up with a bounce card will provide this.
Try Kelby One or Linda.com for some tutorials.

In the Library Module you can set up Lightroom to upload directly to Facebook; itt will size them appropriately.
Look for Publish Services at bottom left of the Library.
Good luck!

Yes, in the export window, scroll down and make sure the quality slider is set to 100%. I believe the default is 60%. Also make sure the resize box is not checked. This will give you a full size JPEG.
Good luck!

From your questions, it appears you are very confused. Not surprising given the level of most YouTube videos. Try The Complete Picture with Julianne Kost, Lynda.com, or Kelby One for superior training.
As to your issue, try this: select an area of the image you wish to adjust, go to the bottom of the layers panel, click on the circle that is half black, half white and select the adjustment you wish to make (brightness/contrast,hue/saturation, levels,etc.). This will place an adjustment layer in the layers panel. The Properties panel will automatically open and you will be able to use it to make your adjustments.
Rongnongno is spot on, you need to better understand the basics of PS instead of avoid mucking around in the dark. What you are trying to do is pretty basic but you need to be aware of the difference between masks and pixel layers.
If you have a local Community College in your area, you might consider seeing if a basic PS course is offered. Sometimes, a structured approach is far superior to trying to learn on your own. I teach PS at a local CC and students are always amazed at how simple some operations are once the basic principles are grasped. Good luck!

Make sure you turn the camera off when removing or inserting cards; if the camera is on when you do this, files can become me corrupted. It has happened to me.
Good luck!

iPhoto has been replaced by the Photos app. Launch it and you will be able to see the photos.

A NEF file is a RAW; Nikon's proprietary format. LR 6 should process the 7100's files but CS 5 is an old version of PS. Did you mean CC 2015?

All in one printers are not designed for serious photo printing. Amfoto's advice is spot on. Get an Epson printer with the Black and White driver setting.

Your looking but really don't know where to look. You can buy books and stuff but even then it will look confusing. There are lots of tutorials out there but there are so many. As soon as you read sRGB vs aRGB your lost.

TAKE A CLASS... Go your your local college, community college or private academy and enroll in a photography class. They will teach you how to use your camera (not some else but yours) and how to process your images. Don't waste another minute looking at all the suggestions here. There can be hundreds!

Yes, yes, yes!! I teach at a local Community College and have taught many such as yourself. While books and online tutorials are good, an experienced instructor will get you farther sooner.

[quote=Kuzano]Your time in improving your photography (unless it is already as good as you want) will be far better spent in Art History books.

Improving your technical knowledge of the camera may not improve your art. If you are a gearhead, as some of us are, your progress in the field of photography will be slower than if you work on photography matters.

Many people who are good technical photographers are not generally good photographers in the craft and skills of photography.

And if you plan to sell your work, time spent on business and marketing will be more valuable

A good marketer and business person can sell anything.

Art History is the place to start. Just when you think you know all the technical aspects of digital camera's, they change. It's a losing battle on the tech end.

Well said! I doubt Rembrandt worried about what kind brush he was using.
