Attached photo - cropped to NOT show children's faces - is a disaster. The client wants the wrinkles at least smoothed out if not totally erased. I've tried for almost 2 hours but can't come up with anything that looks 'right'.

I have PS, LR, Luminar and On1 2018 ... if someone here knows the magic formula to allow me to deal with these wrinkles I would be eternally grateful. Once I know what to do and in what order I'll attack the original photograph.

Thanks in advance!

Tom

Thanks. Just don't let him hear you say that, his head is already almost too large for the doorways

Taz (short for Tasmanian Devil and yes there is definitely a story behind his name) came to me shortly after I lost my Rottie Steve. I was adopted on the spot and he has spent every single day and night reminding me of his superiority and higher level intelligence. However he DOES get along with my last old (12.5-13 yo) dog so that's a real bonus. Anyway I was bringing my camera in for the night to charge the battery and clear off the SD card and he was just sitting in a planter on my deck enjoying the sunshine. Normally when I come home from work he's out terrorizing small furry critters so this wasn't something I wanted to pass up. Grabbed several shots, picked this one and tweaked the lighting a bit (it was really contrasty - is that a word?).

Yes I have image processing software - lots of it actually. When the images are greater than 10-12MB I post screen captures to save server space. Blame that on my 52 years in the IT world I guess. If you'd like to see the original I can certainly post that for you, just say the word :)

Thanks.

Took this last year during a trip down the Oregon coast. Original is in color but I converted it to B&W and then played with exposure a tad.

Would appreciate C&C so I can learn.

Oh and this is a screen capture, the original is something like 10+ MB.

Thanks!

Thanks to both of you. Your comments are pretty much what I had expected so I'll get back up there this afternoon and do a correctly exposed photo. My LG phone is pretty good sometimes but when it's "not good" it's REALLY not good :)

Appreciate it!

This is a photo I took today (Memorial Day 2017) but with my LG camera phone as the battery in my DSLR was too low to work.

I like the photo in general but the washed out whites of the flower make it something I wouldn't ever use. I've tried several different things Smart Photo Editor and Lightroom CC but just can't get any detail in the flowers.

It may be a lost cause but does anybody have a suggestion on recovering this? I'd also appreciate hearing about your steps in the process so I can learn and not have to bug y'all all of the time.

TIA.

Aw-w to bad. I would love him as a barn cat!! So what will become of him? Animal control? Find a farm for him? good luck :)
And he is so photographic. Nice pic too by the way

I'm still trying to find him a home locally here - in fact I suspect I'm just a stop on his regular route but he seems to be settling in quite nicely. He could have been just dropped off here in the area - it's country and that happens a lot to cats and dogs both - or he could have gotten out and they haven't found him. The photo and my number are still on the bulletin board at the little store down the road so I'm still hopeful.

If I can't find his owner or find him a home then we have a local no-kill cat rescue group that I will approach - if that fails then the shelter here is also no-kill. I'd rather put him there than have him hit and killed on the road.

Appreciate the comments!

Best,

Tom

I think it's a beautiful photo, Tom! And what a beautiful kitty! Wish I could bring her home...but I don't think Oreo would like it! :(

Thanks :) I don't think either of my dogs - both rescues, both older (10+ and 14+) would care if the cat just wasn't so aggressive towards them. And he IS gorgeous and he loves to rub against me and climb into my lap to snuggle ... could easily get used to him if it wasn't for the behavior issue.

Appreciate the comments!

Yes he/she is gorgeous. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that he really, REALLY doesn't like dogs. One of my dogs - both female - was trying to go to the bathroom and this goofy cat stalked her and as she stood up he launched. A quick hissing/spitting/arched back attack and before my dog could figure out what was going on the cat went under the deck ... where he continued to hiss and stick his paw (claws extended) out whenever either dog was within 20 feet. No blood was drawn so all I could do was laugh.

Thanks for the comment!

Dean, OldTigger and Bassman Bruce - thanks for the comments. Every time I click the shutter I have another opportunity to learn something new ... one of the reasons I take so many photos I guess. Trying to keep the old brain cells well lubed and working as long as I'm going to need them.

Had a really pretty cat show up on my deck last night and hung around overnight, greeting me this morning. Only problem is that he/she doesn't like my dogs and my dogs are, shall we say, less than thrilled.

Anyway I took a photo of him to make a flyer for the local store's notice board and was pretty happy with it until I noticed that his mouth isn't as sharp as I thought it was. For the flyer it's not an issue ... but it's going to drive me nuts unless someone confirms it. I was following the 'focus on the eyes' rule - maybe I should have had the shutter at f/8 (it was at f/5) ... ? This is a screen capture of the actual file to avoid having to upload such a huge thing (12 MB).

BTW s/he's a really sweet cat, loves to snuggle and desperately wants to come inside which, as alluded to above, won't be successful for anybody.

Thanks in advance.

Tom
