Does it matter if I am using a studio or on camera flash?
They do put out an instant burst of light right?
And will a flash meter read the f-stop output?
And can you not adjust the flash from full power to 1/128th power?

don't be such a fool. just give him the info and he may be able to help ypu

Hi all, first of all I apologize if this is not the right place to post this topic, just be nice I am new

I have a D7200 and would like to get a L-plate for landscapes and panoramas.

I am not able to try them, as they are not available where I live (and if they would exist, they would be at least double the price). So that's why I am looking for UHHs that own a D7200 and any of the L-plates available.

Based on my review there are three categories:
- Custom made ones, where RRS and Kirk would be the contenders, but that means around USD 120 + shipping
-no need to spend a fortune. inexspensive ones on amazon that work great, have two for over a year with no problems..less than $50 Known brand universal one, where I guess the best option looks like being from Three Legged Things at around USD 50
- Cheep universal generic brand ones, where there is a wider range of prices but will probably average at around USD 50

From past experience with buying universal models and/or generic brands (not for L-plates but for other accessories) sometimes is a great option and sometimes is a very bad one.

So, how has been your experience with the one you have?
I am interested in fit, usability, constructions, how practical/impractical has resulted, etc.

Thanks!

I would like to hear from someone who feels they have a quality, sturdy monopod. I bought a Siuri without the feet and I can’t keep it still. Can you tell me if having the 3 feet on the bottom helps much. Thank you for your time.

OMG, I've been muddling through the trial subscription of LR for 3 days and I am making very little progress. Yes, I've listened to many of the tutorials. Is there something one of you could recommend for a new beginner? I have managed to import a few photos. One I even love! BUT I want to import more. And I think I'm doing everything I'm supposed to but then I can't find them. Where did they go? What am I doing wrong? Many thanks! (Should probably add that I am using Lightroom Classic CC.)

Topaz puts this silly confirmation box in their installation routine as a CYA. If you have a computer with a newish graphics card like a NVidia or AMD Raedon you should have Open GL installed.
If in doubt, update your graphics driver to get the latest version.

OBTW, from seeing your work on UHH, you're going to love Textures.

I'm self-taught with Elements. Started with 11 and upgraded to 14. Mostly skipped using Quick mode, used Guided and then went to Expert. Still use Guided for things I can't figure out in Expert. Adobe's Help site is marginally helpful. YouTube and my curiosity have been my friend. The hardest part was figuring out where things were going, how the Catalogue and tagging worked. Those were important to me in addition to editing.

Hey pp experts, I have a photo that has a white (cloudy) sky behind a complex structure of tree limbs with colorful leaves. I've looked at a dozen tutorials on changing sky color (to blue) but every one uses a mask from another photo employing erasing or painting to get around foreground objects. This, if not impossible, would take a year (for me) with this photo because of the complex tree structure with lots of sky showing through between leaves and limbs.

I would think there should be a way to isolate part of the photo to be changed and then just adjust/change one of the colors in that part; in this case the white sky to blue but I have not been able to find a tutorial that shows how to do that. I'm using Luminar, but even a photoshop tutorial may help as I may be able to translate the method to Luminar.

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.
